The NBA Las Vegas Summer League schedule is out and the Blazers will face the Phoenix Suns to open their schedule.
Summer League tips off for the Blazers on July 9 against the Suns, at 1 p.m. (PT). The Las Vegas Summer League will run through July 18.
They also will face the San Antonio Spurs and Utah Jazz in their scheduled games. The Las Vegas Summer League is held in two facilities on the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, The Pavilion and the Thomas and Mack Center. he first three games will all be held at Cox Pavilion on the campus at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
Each team will play five games. Following the three-game preliminary round, it turns to a tournament format will guarantees each team two additional games; possibly more depending on the results. A championship game will be held on June 18.

Current Blazers who are on the roster include rookie forward Jake Layman, forward/center Cliff Alexander, guard/forward Luis Montero and guard Pat Connaughton, recently acquired point guard Shabazz Napier, and as a host of other NBA hopefuls. Also on the roster is center Chris Johnson, who played with the Blazers in 2010-11.
Below is the Blazers preliminary Summer League roster. This will be updated as other players are confirmed.
While some players use Summer League as an opportunity to show they deserve a roster spot, others use the tournament as an opportunity to get noticed by other teams.
The Las Vegas Summer League is the third of the NBA summer leagues, and the only one in which the Blazers will participate. The Orlando Summer League runs July 2-8 and the Utah Summer League runs July 4-7.
All of the Blazers Summer League games will be televised on NBAtv, as well as Rip City Radio 620 AM.
