Welcome to SCtoC's week 4 presentation of the 2016 college football season.
We've recently rolled out a couple of new aspects to this thread:
The first is a link to the radio broadcasts of each game. In our game previews, this will appear in the "Radio" line. At the bottom of the page, radio links for each game will appear in the schedule in our Other SCtoC Games This Week section. This will enable our readers to listen to one game, watch another, and comment here.
The second new item appears in our poll section and will allow our members to select the game(s) we will feature the following week. You vote, we will preview it, and we can follow those games the next weekend. Note that in week 5, we will preview the Stanford-Washington game, which will be Friday, Sept. 30 (it is the only game of our coverage teams scheduled on that evening). The vote on this thread is for the second game of our week 5 coverage; the options for which are being played on Saturday, Oct. 1 (some times of those games are yet to be announced).
We are featuring two games this weekend, with three teams on our coverage list. First up are the Boise St. Broncos who visit Corvallis to face the Oregon St. Beavers. Our second game consists of the powerhouse Stanford Cardinal who head to Los Angeles to face off against the UCLA Bruins..
We will feature a brief preview and invite our members and readers to join the conversation as we follow each game.

Junior QB Darell Garretson has had a nice opening to the season, completing 40 of 70 passes for 400 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception through two games. He's scored a touchdown on the ground as well. Victor Bolden Jr. paces the receivers with 7 catches for 88 yards and a touchdown. he's also ran for a 92-yard touchdown. Seth Collins has caught 7 passes for 79 yards. Paul Lucas has caught just 3 balls, but has a 20.3 yards per catch average. Ryan Nall is the focal point of the offense. Notes: Oregon St. was one of the four founding schools of the Pacific Coast Conference, which is considered a precursor to the current Pac-12 Conference. Due to a limitation on the size of crowds after the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii in 1941, Oregon St. and Duke played the Rose Bowl in North Carolina on January 1, 1942. The #12 Beavers beat the #2 Blue Devils, 20-16. Broncos' QB Brett Rypien, a Spokane native, is the nephew of former NFL QB Mark Rypien, who won two Super Bowls with the Washington Redskins and was named MVP of Super Bowl XXVI. Mark Rypien attended Washington St.
STANFORD CARDINAL at UCLA BRUINS
Date: September 24, 2016.
Time: 5 p.m. (PT).
Place: The Rose Bowl; Pasadena, California.
Television: ABC.

Stanford: The Cardinal come in at 2-0 overall and 1-1 in the Pac-12. They are coming off a 27-10 home win over USC on Sept. 17. Christian McCaffrey makes this team roll. He has already racked up 470 all-purpose yards, including rushing for 298 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also has 106 yards and a score on the receiving end. McCaffrey is on pace to score 24 touchdowns in 12 games this season (156 in a bowl game and 168 should the Cardinal play in both the Pac-12 Championship as well as a bowl game). Ryan Burns has been efficient through Stanford's first two games, completing nearly 70 percent of his passes for 258 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. Michael Rector is the deep threat, having caught 5 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Dalton Schultz could emerge as the answer at tight end as he has been effective as a safety valve for Burns in the passing game. Senior kicker Conrad Ukropina is a perfect 6-6 on extra points and 3-3 on his field goal attempts with a long of 50 yards. Official Roster.
UCLA: The Bruins are 2-1 on the year (they have yet to play a Pac-12 opponent). They are coming off a 17-14 road win over Brigham Young on Sept. 17. Josh Rosen has completed 75 of 124 passes for 917 yards, 4 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. This is a passing offense which will look to test Stanford's defensive secondary Darren Andrews has 10 catches for 160 yards and a touchdown. Kenneth Walker and Eldridge Massington each have 9 catches for 147 and 103 yards, respectively Walker also has a receiving touchdown on his resume. Jordan Lasley, Ishmael Adams, Austin Roberts and Saso Jamabo round out the list of players with at least 6 receptions. Jamabo leads the team in rushing with 181 yards on 34 carries for 3 touchdowns. Bolu Olorunfummi also provides a punch to the rushing game, having run the ball 22 times for 83 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Official Roster.
Notes: Christian McCaffrey, last season's Heisman Trophy runner-up, has recorded 200 or more all-purpose yards in the past eight games; a feat which has not been accomplished in the past decade. In this ESPN video, Cardinal coach David Shaw shows the decisive play which propelled Stanford to a Rose Bowl win eight-and-a-half months ago. UCLA is 39-14 in just over four seasons under Jim Mora. He is the son of Jim E. Mora, who served as head coach of the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts for a collective decade and a half. The Bruins have not won the Pac-12 title since 1998, while Stanford has won three of the past four. Their only national championship came in 1954. The Rose Bowl stadium is one of the larger capacity stadiums in college football, seating 92,542.
