November 15, 2016 -- The Screaming Eagles have announced today that the team has signed former University of Charleston (West Virginia) quarterback Jeremy Johnson.
Johnson is a 6'2" dual-threat quarterback who can cause as much damage in the ground game as he can with his arm. In his one season with the UC Charleston in 2015, he completed 138 of 240 passes (57.5 percent) for 2,170 yards, 17 touchdowns and just 4 picks. He also had 106 rushing attempts for 577 yards (5.4 yards per carry) and 8 touchdowns.
He began his college career at the University of West Virginia, but was never given a change to compete and earn the starting quarterback position.
Johnson is from Silsbee, Texas. His brother, B.K. played defensive back at the University of Houston.
Johnson was offered at least 11 scholarships from major college football programs coming out of high school.
He is the second quarterback on the roster, joining Verlon Reed of Ohio St. and Findlay. Reed, who is listed as a QB/WR, played receiver in college.
Johnson is on twitter at Jeremyjohnson_5.

this guy is a dual threat and the other is a QB/WR. this could be an indication of what kind of offense fans are looking at running.
