Welcome to SCtoC's presentation of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.
We're in round 2 with the Central Arkansas Bears visiting the Eastern Washington Eagles. The Bears advanced to this game with a 31-24 win over the Illionois St. Redbirds in the first round on Nov. 26. The Eagles earned their berth in this game by virtue of winning the Big Sky Conference title. The game will not be televised , so we have provided a link to the audio streaming broadcasts for the respective schools. There also is a link in the preview to stream the game on ESPN3.
SCtoC will cover Eastern Washington throughout the playoffs. We also will feature previews and game threads for the respective bowl games coming up involving the Stanford Cardinal and Boise St. Broncos.

The Bears are 10-2 and finished 8-1 (second) in the Southland Conference. They are coming off a 31-24 home win over the Illinois St. Redbirds in the first round of the FCS playoffs on Nov. 26.

Notes
This is Central Arkansas' third trip to the FCS playoffs. They are 2-2 overall. The Bears won NAIA championships in 1984, 1985 and 1991. UCA, located in Conway, Arkansas, began competing in football in 1908. The Bears' biggest rival is McNeese St. Former NBA player Scottie Pippen attended Central Arkansas. Eastern Washington QB Gage Gubrud and WR Cooper Kupp were named co-Big Sky Conference offensive players of the year. EWU has won nine straight games. The Eagles lone loss of the season came to defending FCS champion North Dakota St. on Sept. 10 in Fargo; dropping the game in overtime, 50-44.
