Last night, like the thirty thousand strong nationwide that saw the Salt Lake City Screaming Eagles lose to the Nebraska Danger, I had the pleasure of experiencing project franchise and I thought it was great. The play calling and game action available throgth the app is a stroke of genius developed by this young company. The intial turnout was good but can it be sustained over the long haul or even expanded upon next year with the Colorado franchise, which is owned by Project Franchise. I felt that a two man booth would have been better after halftime simply because it did not add anything with a third broadcast member. The fans play calling was timely and didn't get in the way of the coaches plan, the question remains of how important this concept will be weighed if the Eagles are in the hunt for the playoffs. Will they stand by this principal,we will have too wait and see. Next Week Where can the Eagles improve and would you like to see this on TV? Hats off to the commissionor for getting involved with the party by calling plays, I hope he had as much fun as I did.

I thought they did a very good job. Fans are going to need to learn some self control, like not going for two points nearly every time. It took a little while to get things down, but I was pretty impressed with the system. The app wristbands were cool. I thought the most impressive part was that there were no delay of game penalties on the offense. I had expected that. The technology part was flawless. Like I said, the play calling was tricky. I think that will work itself out. The execution of plays should also work itself out. I believe in Coach McCarthy.
The Commissioner is extremely enthusiastic about what FANchise is doing. I'm not surprised that he was calling plays. I was hosting our game thread here (you need to join us for that!) and I was also calling plays at the same time. I did not really mind Norm McDonald, but I think he stayed too long. YouTube is a big step. We might find them on an obscure channel one day, but I don't think it will happen this season.
