#70 - Jonah Austin (OL)
Jonah Austin is a 6'6'', 335 lb offensive lineman out of Nicholls State (LA). He signed with the Empire during the off season as a rookie in the IFL. Before starting his professional career, Austin was a redshirted true freshman at Louisiana State University from 2011-2014. Prior to his senior season, he transferred to Nicholls State.
Austin has played in three games for the Empire this season, earning his first start against the Nebraska Danger in the team's fifth game of the season.

1. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement in football so far?
Blessed not to have any injuries.
2. What was it that drew you to Spokane and to earn a roster spot with this team?
Just my research on the city and my hardened dedication for the love of football.
3. What's your impression of the Spokane Empire organization and the Ninth Man compared to other places you've played?
Well this is my first time in a professional league. So far, so good.
4. What impact do you hope to make with the Empire this season?
Being a younger leader and getting notice for being a great player.
5. What personal or team goals do you wish to accomplish this season?
Personal: Best OT in the IFL.
Team: Championship
6. What is your biggest long-term goal for your professional football career?
Being remembered as a great player.
7. Who has inspired you the most in your football career and in life?
My daughter and myself.
8. How do you like to spend your free time?
Facetiming my daughter and reading.
9. What would you like Empire and IFL fans to know about you that they might not know?
I like to dance and sing and cook.
