As an outsider here (I wouldn't identify myself as a Blazer fan. Don't kill me.), how confident are you guys for a good season? I think the playoffs will happen for Portland (hell, they should have this year if they weren't decimated by injuries) with a top tier scorer/ leader in Aldridge and the development of Damian Lillard along with more than capable role players.
Thoughts?

portland had the worse bench in the league last season. it appears that won't be the case this year. the signing this week of Mo Williams caps a busy off season for the blazers. they selected CJ McCollum and traded for Allen Crabbe on draft day; made trades to obtain Robin Lopez and Thomas Robinson; then signed Earl Watson, Dorell Wright and Williams. yes, i am originally from portland and perhaps a homer to some extend, but i'm pretty excited about the off-season moves. i think it makes the bench stronger and takes less pressure off the core of LaMarcus Aldridge, Damian Lillard and Nicolas Batum. so, to answer your question, i'm very confident that we'll make the playoffs. the signing of Williams gives us a legitimate sixth man. as our general manger Neil Olshey said; there's no drop off when Williams comes in for Lillard. last year, that was where our bench started its drop off. we didn't have an adequate backup for Lillard. our core is the same, added Lopez as the starting center and our bench will put it over the top and put us into the playoffs. ~ MKMps: you get a stay of execution as long as you become a Blazers fan!

Kasey talked about this a little but I have to say that if we had this bench last season we would have made the playoffs. I am getting really excited about this year's team. With Mo we have a real sixth man. I predict we will make the playoffs this year.

We definitely would have made the playoffs. Good call, Angi!

I'm pretty confident! I bought tickets for all the weekend home games this season, and I live 200 miles away from PDX! I held off on handing over my credit card until I saw McCollum and Robinson play in summer league. Once I saw it, I caught a bad case of belief. They signed Mo after I had committed, so that only made me feel better about the whole thing. Gonna be a fun season!

Most of us seem really excited about seeing the new guys. We're going to have an interesting second unit this year. That's definitely worth the price of some tickets!

lol Don't get me started on the price of gas. I'm Hoping to make it to a Blazers game or two this year. Maybe in Oakland or Sacramento. Then again, we would have to buy some gas to get there. It's amazing how everything is intertwined!

Right now, our confidence doesn't lie in making the playoffs. It lies more in getting home court advantage in the first round!!
