The third week of the NFL season is over and it is time for me to give my thoughts and stuff (if you have a better name for this, please leave it down below).
For all the people dissing TNF
The Rams-49ers game was probably the best game of the year so far. A high scoring back and forth matchup that went down to the wire. Goff and Watkins are legit. Hoyer isn't.
Parity, parity, and more parity.
The Jets, Colts, Bills, Vikings, and Bears all won. Teams like the Raiders, Dolphins, Buccaneers, Broncos, and Steelers lost. There is nothing real in the world anymore.
The Texans game
Even though they lost (there was some questionable officiating) the Texans played better than they've played in a while, when I thought they would get destroyed. Deshaun (outside of his horrid interception) played well and the Texans defense hit Brady a lot... at least until the final drive where the Pats won the game. Worth mentioning that O'Brien killed any chance of the Texans taking the game into OT with his terrible clock management. The Texans have played so inconsistent as of late I have no idea how they'll do in their upcoming games. All I can tell ya is that it will be an interesting turn of events win or lose.
About that Lions game
Other random notes:
-The Jags won big. Make that HUGE. 44-7? The Ravens are gonna have a lot of to talk about on the way home.
-Aaron Rodgers is clutch. Andy Dalton is not.
-The Chargers aren't going back to San Diego. #dealwithit
-The Chargers will fill up their stadium if they draft Darnold or Rosen. Just saying.
-Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill are X-Factors. Alex Smith is playing MVP football. The Chiefs are showing to be real contenders.
-The Seahawks lost a close game IMO because Sherman is a jerk. They should have traded him in the offseason.
-Cowboys win MNF. The Cardinals suck.
-My Road to 0-16 and 16-0 segments are going to be way shorter.
ROAD TO 0-16
5 teams currently do not have a win. I will do this segment until every team in the NFL has a win.
Teams that currently don't have a win:
NY Giants
LA Chargers
Cleveland Browns
Cincinnati Bengals
San Francisco 49ers
I said last week I didn't see any team that was 0-2 this year making the playoffs. Now that these teams are 0-3 I see these teams becoming the bottom dwellers of the standings this season. The race for the number 1 pick begins. Teams most likely to go 0-16 IMO are the Browns and 49ers.
ROAD TO 16-0
2 teams currently do not have a loss. I will do this segment until every team in the NFL has a loss.
Teams that currently don't have a loss:
Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons. I didn't expect for the undefeateds to go away this fast but the Chiefs and Falcons are the class of their respective conferences. I don't think it is crazy to say that they could be playing in the big game in Minnesota. The team most likely go 16-0 IMO is the Chiefs.
That will do it for this week's installment of Random Thoughts & Stuff, I hope ya enjoyed it. As always I'll give my thoughts on MNF after the game and onto Week 4!
