So, last weekend my buddy and I went and saw Lone Survivor. It tells the story about a Navy SEAL failed operation to kill or capture a known Taliban leader in Afghanistan in 2005. It was based off the book Lone Survivor, written by Marcus Luttrell, who is a former SEAL. Both the movie and the book are based off of true events, in which Luttrell experienced. I think the movie was awesome and incredible. I even got a bit choked up towards the end of it. After it came out, it has gotten a ton of flak, saying that it's "Republican propaganda" and it "glorifies war". I just cannot believe these assholes out there are saying these things about this man, and the horrifying things he went through in that country. He sacrificed so much for this country, and deserves to be celebrated as the hero that he is. americanmilitarynews.com/2014/01/liberal-commentator-bashes-lone-survivor/Now, this is not meant to dive into any kind of politics or political issues. Personally, I can't stand anything political. I'm just saying that, while you don't have to support the war, you damn well support the brave men and women who are out there fighting it every day. We all should pray that they make it home safe.
