With the conclusion of the 2018 Regular Season on Monday, the Northwest League announced its 2018 NWL Postseason All-Star Team.
Spokane Indians first baseman Curtis Terry and Vancouver Canadians pitcher Josh Winckowski highlighted the Postseason All-Star Team, winning the Northwest League's Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year awards, respectively.
Terry, drafted by the Texas Rangers in 2015, had a career season in 2018. In his second season with Spokane, his fourth overall, Terry finished the regular season batting .337, third best in the NWL. He led the league in slugging with a .606 slugging average with 15 home runs and 60 runs batted in, as well as a whopping 1.040 on base percentage. Terry was also selected to the 2018 Northwest League/Pioneer League All-Star Game. He participated in the Home Run Derby title, winning the hardware with 14 home runs.
Winckowski, drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2016, enjoyed a fantastic first season with Vancouver, his first in the Northwest League and his third overall professional season. He finished the season with a 4-5 record, posting a 2.78 earned run average, the second best ERA among pitchers in the NWL. In 68.0 innings pitched, he posted 71 strikeouts and allowed only 15 walks and 21 earned runs.

The Northwest League Playoffs will begin September 5th. The Hillsboro Hops, winners of the South Division in the first and second half, will take on the Eugene Emeralds, who finished in second place in the second half of the NWL Season, thus earning the second playoff bid as Hillsboro won both season halves. Meanwhile in the North Division, the second half division winning Spokane Indians will take on the Everett AquaSox, the winners of the North Division in the first half. The North and South Division Series are a Best-of-3 series.
The Northwest League Championship series is scheduled for Saturday, September 8th. The NWL Championship is a Best-of-5 series.
