Hi everyone it is me spiderfan here, and today due to being busy I bring you a short rapid fire edition of my column this week. Next week things should return to normal. I will also post my midseason awards as promised. Let us begin!
Rapid Fire Thoughts:
-Mullens Mania has started and I think in the coming weeks Nick Mullens will show that is the next $100 million dollar man
-Trust the Gruden folks. The tanking will payoff, at least IMO.
-The Falcons have dug themselves out of their 1-4 hole and look to make noise. I'm impressed.
-Apparently, the Redskins are still inconsistent and that leaves the Eagles and Ostriches a shot at the division.
-Look, Kirk Cousins wins a game against a bad team in a game that wasn't seen by most of the country. If Cousins would preform in big games as he does in little games he would actually be worth his contract.
-John Harbaugh should be fired, Joe Flacco benched, and OC Marty Mornhinweg and Lamar Jackson should take their spots for the rest of the season.
-Baker Mayfield vs Pat Mahomes 2 wasn't as good as the first game, but it still was good.
-Hue Jackson is a terrible coach and should never become a HC or even OC in the league again after his tenure with the Browns, despite what he says.
-Sam Darnold now leads the league in INTs. I'm aware he is a rookie, but based on his play at USC he won't improve very much from where he is now.
-Poor Bills.
-If the Buccaneers defense wasn't terrible, they would have a good record.
-It is a shame that the Chargers are 6-2 and yet get no love. Same with the Panthers.
-I felt bad for the whole Broncos team when Brandon McManus missed that kick.
-The Saints defeating the Rams means 2 things: 1.) The Rams are no longer undefeated and 2.) The Saints now have the #1 seed on the NFC side of things. Add on the signing of Dez Bryant, and the Saints may very well represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
-The Packers are a bad team. The Patriots are a really good. Enough said.
-If you read my column regularly you know of my grievances with the Dallas Ostriches. If you don't want to take my word that the Ostriches organization is bad, take it from HoFer and lead Fox color analyst Troy Aikman. Troy Aikman for Cowboys President of Football Operations!
I hope you enjoyed this rapid fire edition of Random Thoughts & Stuff, and with that said, this is spiderfan out.
