The Thunder have opened their first training camp on February 22.. Competition on the field begins on February 23. Some, such as quarterback Darron Thomas and lineman Max Jean-Gilles, are all but assured of roster spots. In all, 35 players will vie for 20 roster spots. Another four will be selected and occupy four "inactive" spots.
