The latest news from the league is that Oakland California May join the league in 2020.The land that gave us the forever NBA champion Golden State Warriors would enable the league to create a solid western division that might also include Portland and Salt Lake City, both cities have expressed interest and could intensify the leagues strong competition. The league already has Arizona,Tucson, and SanDiedgo, good members who have competed well this season. Jerry Kurtz, a key member of the leagues front office team has provided a solid direction for the league if this goes through there will likely be additional steps to solidify the league and make it into a chief rival for the sports top spot.

Speculation at this point. On all fronts.
- Our source involved in the IFL said Oakland hasn't been discussed really at all. There's been back end talks but it's only preliminary discussions. It's not 100% confirmation this Oakland team is going in.
Now, if you ask me personally, I wouldn't be surprised if a team were announced last minute and I wouldn't be shocked if San Diego were to relocate there. That's just my 2 cents.
- Salt Lake City was supposed to last year but they didn't. Whether that same ownership decides they want in for 2020 is still up in the air.
- Portland? The last we heard of anything regarding Portland was 2017, maybe close to 2018 but the folding of Spokane kind of put a dagger in that. We've heard nothing that Portland still has interest in joining.
