The Northwest League (Single-A Short Season) has announced its 2019 All-Star Roster for the annual Northwest League/Pioneer League All-Star Game.
The Single-A Short Season All-Star Game features top talent from the eight teams in the Northwest League against the eight teams in the Pioneer Baseball League. The Northwest League is composed of players from the Boise Hawks, Eugene Emeralds, Everett AquaSox, Hillsboro Hops, Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, Spokane Indians, Tri-City Dust Devils and Vancouver Canadians. The Pioneer Baseball League composed of players from the Billings Mustangs, Grand Junction Rockies, Great Falls Voyagers, Idaho Falls Chukars, Missoula Osprey, Ogden Raptors, Orem Owlz and Rocky Mountain Vibes.
This year will be the first appearance of All-Stars for the Rocky Mountain Vibes. The Vibes relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado this season after spending 39 seasons in Helena, Montana as the Helena Brewers.
The two leagues have been competing against each other in All-Star games beginning with the 2015 All-Star Game at Avista Stadium in Spokane, Washington. The event has alternated every other year between venues in the NWL and the PBL. Last season, the All-Star Game was in Grand Junction, Colorado, where the PBL All-Stars defeated the NWL All-Stars 13-10.
This year's All-Star Game is scheduled to be at Memorial Stadium in Boise, Idaho, home of the Boise Hawks. The game will take place on August 6th.
