The following is the complete schedule for the 2019 Northwest League Playoffs.
The defending NWL Champions, the Eugene Emeralds (33-43), were eliminated from playoff contention, marking the first time since 2015 that the Emeralds did not appear in the postseason. With the defending champs sitting at home, it clears a new path for a new champion.
In the North Division series, the Spokane Indians (45-31), champions of both the first and second half North Division titles, take on their proximity rival the Tri-City Dust Devils (38-38), who clinched the second playoff berth by finishing ahead of the Everett AquaSox (37-39) in the overall standings. Spokane looks to return to the NWL after a heartbreaking defeat in Game 3 of the 2018 NWL Championship in which Eugene won on a bases loaded balk; the Indians will try and capture the elusive ninth NWL title. Meanwhile, the Dust Devils are in the playoffs for the first time since 2015 and seek for their first championship in team history. Prior to the team's move to Pasco, Washington in 2001, the franchise has won at least one title -- in 1997 as the Portland Rockies, defeating Boise 3 games to 2.
Meanwhile, in the South Division Series, the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (46-30) will take on the Hillsboro Hops (48-28). The Hops and Volcanoes battled each other for most of the season at the top of the South Division. Salem-Keizer won the first-half South Division title by 2 games over Hillsboro. The two would remain atop the South Division in the second half, but Hillsboro would eventually clinch the second playoff spot a mere days before winning the second-half division crown. The Volcanoes are appearing in the NWL Playoffs for the first time since 2015 and are seeking its sixth NWL Championship, and first title since 2009. Meanwhile, Hillsboro looks for redemption after getting swept by Eugene despite having the league's best overall record (51-25) and both the First and Second Half South Division titles. The Hops are are looking for their third championship in seven seasons since relocating from Yakima in 2013, and its first title since 2015.
Each round of the NWL Playoffs will appear most recent at the top of the post. Final results will be updated following the conclusion of the games. All game times are listed in the Pacific Timezone (PST). Where applicable, click on the final score to view the NWL's game tracker for the complete box score.
