No. 27 pick Seattle Seahawks Jorydn Brooks, LB Texas Tech
Quick thoughts: Having a Bobby Wagner wingman is nice and Jordyn Brooks will be just that. I like the pick.

With the way this round is moving along, the NFL may choose to incorporate some of the elements of this virtual system into upcoming drafts.

No. 27 pick Seattle Seahawks Jorydn Brooks, LB Texas Tech Quick thoughts: Having a Bobby Wagner wingman is nice and Jordyn Brooks will be just that. I like the pick. They're building up the defense like they had during the Super Bowl year.

No. 28 pick Baltimore Ravens Patrick Queen, LSU
Quick thoughts: Patrick Queen was the Defensive MVP of the National Championship Game and was arguably the best draft eligible defensive player on the whole team! Fantastic pick by the Ravens.

No. 29 pick Tennessee Titans Isaiah Wilson G, Georgia
Quick thoughts: The Titans are a run based team and improving their O-line was obviously something they wanted to do. Good pick.

No. 30 pick Miami Dolphins Noah Igbinoghene, CB Auburn
Quick thoughts: This is an odd pick. The Dolphins already have a couple highly paid corners, but this also means that the secondary of the Dolphins is going to be one of the best in the league.

Two picks left in the first round and no RBs taken. Could be a popular position on day 2.

No. 31 pick Minnesota Vikings Jeff Gladney CB, TCU
Quick thoughts: Zimmer likes himself someone DBs so this pick isn't ultra surprising. Kinda seems like a reach though.

No. 32 pick Kansas City Chiefs Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB, LSU
Quick thoughts: And the last pick of the first round is the 5th player from LSU that was selected and Edwards-Helaire is a great pick. He fits the Andy Reid offense and will be the next generation LeSean McCoy. This will end up being one of the better picks of the draft.

No. 33 pick Cincinnati Bengals Tee Higgins WR, Clemson
Quick thoughts: Joe Burrow has another weapon and Higgins is a great one. He was one of the key players in Clemson's success last year and now that the Bengals will have him along with AJ Green and John Ross, with Joe Mixon in the backfield, the Bengals should win more than 2 games next year.

No. 35 pick Detroit Lions D'Andre Swift RB, Georgia
Quick thoughts: Swift has been a fantastic RB at Georgia and arguably the best RB in the SEC. The Lions have to be happy to get him this low. Great pick by the Lions.

No. 41 pick Indianapolis Colts Johnathan Taylor RB, Wisconsin
Quick thoughts: Kinda surprised that the Colts would take Johnathan Taylor since they already have Marlon Mack, but I guess they think Taylor will be a good change of pace back. Taylor ran for a lot of yards at Wisconsin so he has talent. Whether he has the same talent at the NFL level is TBD.

No. 44 pick Cleveland Browns Grant Delpit S, LSU
Quick thoughts: Delpit was the Jim Thorpe award winner for the 2019 season. The Jim Thorpe award is the award for the best defensive back in college football. I am SHOCKED he fell this far and this is an absolute steal by the Browns.

No. 45 pick Tommy Bay Buccaneers Antoine Winfeld Jr S, Minnesota
Quick thoughts: Winfeld Jr was the best player on the Minnesota Golden Gophers last year and I have very little doubt that he won't be good for the Bucs. Nice pick.
