Breakdown
FIGHTERS
Frisco found itself in a dogfight in last week's season opener in Spokane until Demarcus Felton rushed in from a yard with 10 seconds remaining out to lift the Fighters to a 36-33 win over the Shock. They recovered from a bit of a slow start, but got on track to secure their first-ever win as a franchise. Jonathan Bane in his first start, completing 63 percent of his passes for 166 yards with a pair of touchdown tosses and no picks. Last week's game winner was third of three touchdowns he scored on the night to add to his 38 rushing yards. The receiving corps were led by Chris Sanders-McCollum's nine receptions for 70 yards. Sam Bruce and Lance Evans combined for 11 receptions, while Mark Munson snagged a pair of touchdown tosses from Bane. Khalil Williams recorded seven tackles in the opener, while Joel Dullary intercepted a pair of passes to go along with six tackles. Trey Caldwell's six tackles were all solo tackles. Recently signed Bryce Crawford will take over the kicking duties.
XTREME
Louisville has had a rough start to their season, but are looking to get their first win this week. Coming off a bye week, Mark Stoute's group should be regrouped to embark on the remainder of the season. Both quarterbacks on the roster, Bryan Hicks and Dalton Oliver, have seen significant playing time in the team's first two games. Their performances have been equivalent with Hicks completing 63 percent of his pass with a touchdown, while Oliver is 57 percent with four scores and two picks. The Xtreme has not yet had much success in the running game, though Lance Moise has 30 yards off five carries on the season. Quan Shorts leads the team with 14 catches for 135 yards and a touchdown, while Edgar Poe comes in with 10 receptions for 72 yards and three scores. Kyree McLean has eight total tackles and the team's lone interception on the season. Cameron Hall and Perez Ford also each have eight tackles on the season. The Xtreme kicker is former Notre Dame College's Derek Vacha.
