Breakdown
BLIZZARD
Green Bay's path to the playoffs is simple. If the Blizzard win, they are in; if they lose, they take an early vacation. That won't be easy as the Blizzard have failed to defeat the Storm in 21 previous tries. However, if they can put together a solid 60 minutes against a vulnerable Storm team, the Blizzard could find themselves in action one more week. Due to scheduling, they play their last five games on the road, and have lost their last three. Last week against the Fighters, Damion May got the start at quarterback. He's completed 56 percent of his passes along with 19 touchdowns and four picks. Brook Bolles, who also saw action last week, has a 49 percent completion percentage with 18 scores and three interceptions. Kerrion Moore leads the team in rushing with 25.5 yards per game and seven touchdowns. Keshaun Taylor and Kezlow Smith are a formidable receiving duo with 16 combined scoring grabs. Momodou Mbye and Diondre Wallace each come in with 83 tackles. Mbye also has five interceptions for the Blizzard.
STORM
Like the Blizzard, Sioux Falls has a mandate in order to get into the playoffs. If they win, they make the postseason. Even if the Storm lose, they could still find their way into the playoffs, but it would take a lot of help from around the league. The Storm have made the playoffs in every season they have been in the IFL. They have played in the past 10 United Bowls, winning seven of those. To miss the playoffs would be unprecedented for the franchise and the team will look to avoid that. No quarterback in the IFL has been with his team longer than Lorenzo Brown, Jr. The two-time United Bowl MVP is completing 57 percent of his throws along with 15 touchdowns and four interceptions, and has nine rushing touchdowns. In addition to being a dangerous return man, Nate Chavious nearly 40 rushing yards per game with 17 touchdowns. Receiver Brandon Sheperd has 555 receiving yards and five scores on the season. Marquis Hendrix leads the defense with 87 tackles, and Trey Wafford has 86 tackles and four picks.
