Breakdown
GLADIATORS
Duke City has a championship pedigree having won the 2018 and 2019 Champions Indoor Football titles. The Gladiators made the jump to the IFL and hope to repeat that feat in their first season in their new league. They are a tale of two sides of the ball. The Gladiators boast the league's top offense at 52-6 points per game, but the defense is allowing an IFL second-highest 47.1 points per game. They opened the season with a dramatic 63-55 win over the Barnstormers right in the building where this game will take place. Nate Davis is a prime candidate for IFL MVP of Offensive player of the Year. He is completing 64 percent of his passes and his 79 touchdowns are far and away tops in the league. He comes in with just 10 picks on the season. Dello Davis leads the league with 69.6 receiving yards per game with 37 scoring grabs. Jared Elmore and Xavier Amey combine for over 104 yards per game and 37 touchdowns. Ray Jones, Jr. leads the team with 82 tackles and eight pass breakups, while Javian Williams has four sacks.
BARNSTORMERS
It's been a rocky season for Iowa, but the Barnstormers came on strong at the end. With five weeks to go, they weren't even in playoff position. Heading into the final week, they are hosting a playoff game. The Barnstormers won the 2018 United Bowl; their first-ever championship in over 20 years in existence. There have been many changes to the roster, coaching staff and even front office, but the playoffs are a new start and they will look to make their mark to another title. Daquan Neal is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the IFL. He is completing 52 percent of his passes to go along with 29 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also leads the team with 45.8 yards per game and 16 touchdowns on the ground. Elad Covaliu rushes for 36 yards per game and 12 touchdowns. Carrington Thompson, Sr. leads the receiving corps with 39 catches for 568 yards and eight scores. Tony Jones paces the Barnstormers defense with 79 tackles and 3.5 sacks. John McClure adds 52 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 10 pass breakups.
