Former Oklahoma State Basketball big man, Mason Cox, has just signed a contract to play Australian Rules Football (AFL) in Australia. He was the standout in a combine in Los Angeles last month and was invited to trail with clubs here in Melbourne, Australia. From all reports, he impressed a number of clubs and went on to sign a contract with the Collingwood Magpies Football Club. I must add that he signed with the right team...I'm a huge Collingwood fan! Check out the video!

That is really cool. How much does high height help him or hurt him?

His height helps a lot. He is now the tallest player in the league and from what I have seen, he is really talented at ground level and is extremely athletic.

Which parts confuse you, or is the whole thing confusing? lol How basketball players make good Australian football players. Scouts are generally targeting tall and athletic basketball players, because if they develop their skills they can become so dominant in our game.

I just did not know that there was that big of a market for real tall guys in this type of game.
