On June 17 when the ESPY award for Best Play was awarded to Auburn for a field goal return resulting in a game-winning touchdown over Auburn, the camera moved to Blazers Guard Damian Lilliard. Lillard's series winner over the Rockets in the first round of the playoffs apparently fell short of votes in the fan-voted awards show. Here is Lillard's response: Before I get to my point I guess I should note the person circled in in back who really seemed to disagree with the announcement. Actually, as I take another look at the photo, other than the guy sitting next to Lillard, no one seems all that impressed with the fans' "choice." Why do I say that they are not impressed? I say that since this sort of reminds me of the now-infamous "unimpressed" face made by United States gymnast McKayla Maroney as she accepted the silver medal in the vault competition at the London Olympics. So, being the good little journalist which I wish to be, I thought I would bring this to McKayla's attention. The best part, if I say so, is that McKayla favorited my tweet (as well as my oldest sister!)!

Dame should have won! The outcome of that game really didn't mean anything, but Dame's shot won a playoff series. This is what happens when you get a fan vote.
