The following is the complete schedule for the 2023 Canadian Football League season.
The Toronto Argonauts enter the 2023 Season seeking to defend their 2022 Grey Cup Championship and earn back-to-back Grey Cups for the first time since 1996-1997. The Argonauts won their 18th Grey Cup title last season (8th since the 1957 CFL merger), defeating the back-to-back champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers 24-23.
Two teams went through coaching changes for 2023. The Montreal Alouettes replace Khari Jones and interim coach/General Manager Danny Maciocia with former QB Jason Maas, who has served the last two seasons as offensive coordinator for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Maas was previously the Head Coach of the Edmonton Eskimos from 2016-2019. Meanwhile, the Ottawa Redblacks will turn to Bob Dyce as the team's third head coach in franchise History. Dyce went 1-3 as interim Head Coach last year, replacing Paul LaPolice, and earned the permanent job heading into 2023.
The CFL regular season spans from early/mid-June to early November and consists of 18 games over the course of 21 weeks with three bye weeks per team.
The first game of the schedule kick off Thursday, June 8th as the BC Lions take on the Calgary Stampeders. Other highlights include a full slate of games over Labor Day Weekend, and only one (Canadian) Thanksgiving game this season when the Ottawa Redblacks take on the Montreal Alouettes on October 10th. The annual Touchdown Atlantic game played in the Canadian Maritimes continues in 2023, with the Toronto Argonauts hosting Saskatchewan Roughriders in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Toronto and Saskatchewan played in the 2022 Touchdown Atlantic game, held in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. The game will also be the first game played in Halifax since the 2006 CFL Preseason.
The CFL Playoffs will commence on Saturdays this year from its usual Sunday slate to avoid conflicts with the NFL. This marks the first time since 2008 that CFL playoff games will be held on a Saturday. The Division Semifinals on Saturday, November 4th and the Division Finals on Sat., November 11th. The 110th Grey Cup will be played on Sunday, November 20th at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario.
Each week's games will appear most recent at the top of the post. Final results will be updated following the conclusion of the games and listed in ascending order. Where applicable, click on the final score to view the CFL's game tracker for the complete box score.
All CFL games, including the playoffs and the Grey Cup, will be streamed across Canada on TSN. In the United States, 34 CFL games will be aired on CBS Sports Network. CBS Sports Network, most well known for airing Arena Football League and Alliance of American Football games, enters its first year of a new multi-year deal after years on the ESPN family of networks. All other games in the United States will air on the CFL's new streaming app, CFL+, which requires only a verified e-mail and is completely free to viewers.
NOTE: All game times are listed in the Pacific Time Zone and are subject to change.
