The following is the complete schedule for the 2023 Northwest League Championship Series.
The defending Northwest League Champions, the Eugene Emeralds (66-66), failed to make the playoffs in 2023, marking the end of a highly successful playoff appearance run that saw the franchise make the Championship 5 times in 6 seasons, excluding the 2020 COVID-19 cancelled season. The Emeralds won 4 titles, including two consecutive entering this season. With the Emeralds failing to miss the playoffs, a new Champion will be crowned for the first time since the 2019 season, the final Short-A season for the NWL before its switch to full-season High-A affiliate status.
The Vancouver Canadians (77-54) return to the Northwest League Championship after falling to the Emeralds in a 3-game sweep last year. The Canadians made the NWL Championship by virtue of clinching the First Half regular season title at 38-27. Vancouver attempted to win the Second Half crown, but fell short (39-27) to eventual the Second Half regular season champion Everett AquaSox (40-26) by virtue of a 3-7 stretch that resulted in the Canadians falling 1-game short.
Everett (74-58) rode high in the second half to clinch a playoff berth ahead of the rest of the league, but claimed the Second Half regular season title over a slumping Canadiens team. Everett fell short in the First Half with a 34-32 record, but a powerful surge in the Second Half propelled the AquaSox to their first Northwest League Championship appearance since 2016.
Vancouver once again seeks its fifth championship, having won the Northwest League in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2017. They Canadians previously reached the Championship in 2022, getting swept by Eugene 3-0.
Everett seeks its third overall championship, and its second championship as the AquaSox since its rebranding from the Everett Giants in 1995. Everett has won the Northwest League title in 1985 (as the Giants) and 2010. This is the sixth overall appearance for Everett, having previously reached the NWL Championships in 2016, falling to Eugene 2-1 in a best of three series.
Each round of the NWL Playoffs will appear most recent at the top of the post. Final results will be updated following the conclusion of the games. All game times are listed in the Pacific Timezone (PST). Where applicable, click on the final score to view the NWL's game tracker for the complete box score.
