Seven women in leadership positions with the IFL and some if its teams took an opportunity on March 1 to speak about the impacts of being a woman in being a traditionally male-dominated field. The roundtable was a part of Women's History Month in March. Topics ranged from each person's background, to whom they look up, mentors, advice they would give to a young female interested in entering the field, and more.
Participants included the following:
Kayley Shade, Director of Media, IFL Allison Norgaard, Vice President of Business Operations, IFL Destiny Brown, General Manager, Quad City Steamwheelers Robin DePalma, Co-Owner, Northern Arizona Wranglers Tia McDaniel, Vice President, Massachusetts Pirates Juli Pettit, General Manager, Iowa Barnstormers Kathy Treankler, Owner, Green Bay Blizzard
This was a small sampling of the women who work behind the scenes in effort to make the IFL as successful as it has been and can be. The IFL season begins on march 16. The full video, via the IFL official YouTube channel, can be found below.

I just got done watching this. It was really interesting to hear their individual backstories. Women seem very well represented in the IFL because I know there are several others who could have been a part of it as well.

If indoor football has proportionally more female fans than NFL (according to the IFL), what is it about indoor football that makes it that way? I am disqualified from answering.

I'm not sure I can answer that either. My best guess is that it's more of a family friendly environment which is more inviting to kids than the NFL. Meeting players can make a kid's night. That's, at least, my best guess.

Does the zero tolerance for taunt/bullying play a role?
I'd speculate for a mom, players playing hard, being rough, but not humiliating each other sets a much healthier example than is generally available in all other sports and entertainment.
