The following is the 2024 Regular Season Schedule for the Spokane Indians.
Spokane enters its fourth season with the High Single-A format, along with the Eugene Emeralds, Everett AquaSox, Hillsboro Hops, Tri-City Dust Devils and defending the NWL Champion Vancouver Canadians. All six teams will continue to play in a division-less league, with no plans in the future to restore the North and South divisions of the original NWL.
The Northwest League season runs from early April through mid-September, playing a total of 132-games (66 home/66 away).
Spokane enters its fourth season as a minor league affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. Year Three of the new High-A format began with the entirety of the opening series at Vancouver wiped out due to wet grounds and constant rain showers that would result in 2 of the 3 game series being rescheduled in Spokane while the third game was completely cancelled. Spokane would officially begin the season four days later against the Eugene Emeralds. It was a rocky (no pun intended) season for Spokane, as the team would get hot, then suffer long losing streaks. The Indians clung to very slim playoff hopes going into September, but a loss in the first of a double header against Everett ended the team's playoff hopes, missing the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
Not all was awful for Spokane last season: Jordan Beck, the #2 OF Rockies prospect, was the NWL's Most Valuable Player with 20 HRs (2nd in NWL) and led the league in slugging percentage. Beck would be called up in July to Double-A Hartford. The Indians also won the Top MLB Prospect Award, as switch hitting SS Adael Amador tallied 67 hits in 54 games, including five or more consecutive games with multiple hits before being called up to Hartford. In all, Spokane had five players make the NWL's 2023 All-Star Team.
Manager Robin Cancel returns as manager of the Indians. Cancel was 62-67 in his first season at the helm after spending the previous two seasons as manager of the Fresno Grizzlies (Single-A).
The 2024 season begins Friday, April 5th at home against the defining champions, Vancouver, in a three-game series. Spokane will then hit the road the following week, kicking off a 6-game series against their rivals from Pasco, the Tri-City Dust Devils.
Spokane will have a stretch of two weeks (May 28-June 9, July 5-July 14) of their longest homestands, taking on Everett and Hillsboro in the first set, and Tri-City and Everett in the second set. Spokane will only see two long road trip this season, spanning from June 23-July 3 with trips to Everett and Tri-City, and July 19-July 28 with trips to Vancouver and Eugene.
SCtoC has listed the schedule below, followed by the home fields of the Indians' opponents. Start times are listed in the Pacific (PT) time zone and are subject to change. Indians games can be head locally on 105.3 FM/1510 AM The Game with Mike Boyle calling the action. Bold red denotes home games.
