Harrington found a wide open Cole Blackman in stride for a 44-yard touchdown and the Fighters were up by three scores. Stubbs returned the ensuing kickoff back to the Frisco 13 where the Sharks went back to work. Williams' touchdown run of a yard around the right side pulled the Sharks to within 12 with 2:13 left in the opening half. Jacksonville tried another onside kick, but it was recovered by Frisco linebacker Royce See. The Fighters took advantage of the positive field position, scoring on a one-yard run up the middle from Harrington with just under a minute to play. Payton fumbled on a handoff to Williams, and the Fighters Charles Williams was able to pounce on it at the eight-yard line. They took advantage with a four-yard scoring run from Jimmy Smith. Payton lobbed a two-yard touchdown toss to Tamorrion Terry as time expired in the half. They tried the two-point conversion, but Payton's pass to Kamrin Solomon was just out of reach. The Fighters led 41-21 at intermission.
Frisco extended its lead early in the third quarter when Carter scampered around the left side for 19-yard score. The Sharks' offense stalled and Frisco took over deep in its own territory. The Fighters took a 54-21 lead when Harrington bootlegged around the left side and scored on a 16-yard run. That score would stand through the end of the quarter.
