The Rattlers move to 9-5 on the season with the win and, courtesy of the Northern Arizona Wranglers' 57-43 loss to the San Diego Strike Force tonight, are tied for third place in the Western Conference. Technically, they are in fourth place with the Strike Force given that San Diego holds the tiebreaker between the teams due to a better conference winning percentage. The Barnstormers move to 4-9 and are all but eliminated from playoff contention in the Eastern Conference.
Arizona also completes the season sweep of the Barnstormers. The Rattlers also have a 13-8 mark against the Barnstormers all-time which includes the teams' matchups in the Arena Football league. The Rattlers are 7-5 at home and 6-3 on the road in the series.

Brooks' two-yard run put the Rattlers up 27-11 with about four minutes to go in the first half. Alt found Keshaun Taylor for a 46-yard touchdown with 53 seconds remaining to pull to within nine points, but Brooks rushed in from a yard out to give the Rattlers a 34-18 lead at the half.

The Barnstormers went for the onside kick and, after a deflection, recovered the ball in the end zone which meant they would receive the ball at their own five-yard line. As they were driving, Alt was intercepted by Arizona's Dillon Winfrey. Brooks rushed for his fourth score of the game which effectively put the game away.
Sneed, who led the Bay Area Panthers to the IFL National Championship last season, went 12 of 16 for 116 yards and a touchdown for the Rattlers' offense. he also rushed for 43 yards to go with the previously mentioned three scores on the ground. In addition to his four touchdown runs, Brooks rushed 15 times for 46 yards. Nih-Jer Jackson led the receiving group with four catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. Dillon Winfrey had 6.5 tackles and a fourth quarter interception which stopped a potential barnstormers' rally in the fourth quarter. Davonte Merriweather and Jarmaine Doubs also had an interception apiece.
Alt made his first start for Iowa and completed 14 of 34 passes for 218 yards with three touchdowns, but also threw three picks. Taylor had five grabs for 86 yards and a touchdown and Williams hauled in three passes for 75 yards and two scores. Jefferson Fritz and J'Von France each had six tackles to lead the Barnstormers' defense. Krystapher Oakley recorded two sacks to go with four solo tackles.
