Feb. 10 - The Thunder have released their training camp dates for the 2015 season. Training camp will begin on with players reporting on March 4. Players will take their physicals on March 4 at Sports Medicine Oregon. Practices will begin on March 6, at the Oregon Soccer Center in Clackamas. Practices will be held from 8-11 a.m. each day and they are open to the public. The practices will be held March 6-11, March 13, and March 15-20. The first cuts are due after practice on March 13 and the second cuts are due following practice on March 20. The final roster is required to be turned into the Arena Football League office by 3 p.m. (pacific time) on March 20. The team will travel to Eastern Washington on March 12 for a joint practice and scrimmages with players from the Spokane Shock. That event is closed to the public. Thirty-five players, in addition to other invitees, will take part in training camp. The team will end up with a final roster of 24 players. “As a staff, we are excited to continue cultivating our relationships with the returning players, and establish connection with our rookies and new additions,” head coach Mike Hohensee said in the Thunder's official press relsease. “Any time you begin a project, you are anxious to set an attitude or tone. This camp will help us do that, while getting the team to a position where we can interact and understand each phase of the game together.” The Thunder's season opener is set for March 27 at 7 p.m. at the Moda Center at the Rose Quarter. - ANMTo comment, please login or register.
