O-Live's Q&A with Alonzo Gee

Feb. 24 - Sean Meagher over at Oregon Live had the opportunity to put together a Q&A with new Blazer Alonzo Gee. 

For starters, Gee is a fan of SpongeBob and movies, and will try any food but sushi. He also talks about guarding Damian Lillard and making his mark in the NBA as a defender who can guard three positions.

Gee and Arron Afflalo were acquired by the Blazers in a trade-deadline deal last week which sent Thomas Robinson, Will Barton, Victor Claver and a first-round draft pick to the Nuggets.

Here are a couple of excerpts from the interview:

"I get into debates with guys on (who my favorite player is) all the time ... I've been talking with Arron about this lately, I told him AI (Allen Iverson). The reason I always went with AI because he had braids and tattoos, then Melo came around ... You know, I'm young, I'm only 27, so I didn't see Jordan play. I've only seen clips of him. Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson were my favorites."

"I'm a pretty laid back dude. I like the movies. Arron's trying to buy a bike, so I might be doing the bike riding thing with him (laughs). I like adventures. In Denver I used to go up to the mountains and hike. I like stuff like that."

Finally, someone is reporting about Alonzo! He has a cute smile and I hope he gets a decent chance with the Blazers.

That is a nice read. I am not sure how much time he will get. I hope he gets a chance to help us out. He seems to have a good attitude.
