March 30 - Blazers President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey announced today that the team has signed point guard Tim Frazier for the remainder of the season. The signing allows him to be on the Blazers playoff roster.
The Blazers clinched a playoff berth tonight with a 109-86 win over the Phoenix Suns.
Frazier, a 6'1" point guard who attended Penn St., played six games for the Philadelphia 76ers during two 10-day contracts this season. He averaged 5.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists while playing 28.5 minutes per game. He was not retained by the team after his second 10-day contract, which paved the way for the 76ers to sign former Blazer Thomas Robinson.
Frazier will be going from Portland to Portland, as he has played 41 games this season for the NBA Developmental League's Maine Red Claws. He posted averages of 16.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 9.5 assists, and led the NBA D-League with four triple-doubles.
He played during pre-season for the Boston Celtics in October 2014.
He will fill the role of the third-string point guard behind Damian Lillard and Steve Blake. The Blazers had an open roster spot after trading Robinson, Will Barton and Victor Claver to the Denver Nuggets for Arron Afflalo and Alonzo Gee on February 19.
Frazier, who will wear number 10 for the Blazers, will likely be available for the Blazers April 1 home game against the L.A. Clippers.

I don't think this will make a lot of difference in our playoff run, but this guy has some great numbers. the staff will have a good opportunity to watch him in practice and maybe we'll see him this summer or fall as well.

Really impressive numbers. Will be interesting to find out how he competes in practice.

I just saw the video with Stotts that the team expects Frazier to play in summer league and training camp. It looks like signing him was more of a project.
