On Wednesday the Shock continued to fill out their roster for the 2016 season, signing WR Harry Peoples, LB Armogen Walker, and DL Brett Bowers.
Harry Peoples is a 6'0'', 195 lb wide receiver out of Louisiana-Lafayette. Prior to joining the Shock, Peoples played overseas in Norway for the Lura Bulls, earning MVP honors. He was the definition of Ironman Football, playing quarterback and was the teams kick and punt returner. He'll be entering his second season in the IFL, having played for the Tri-Cities Fever in 2014 under current Shock head coach Adam Shackleford. Peoples appeared in 13 games with the Fever, catching 45 passes for 499 yards and 10 TD in addition to two rushing touchdowns. He also served as the team's kickoff returner, returning 19 kickoffs for 394 yards and a touchdown. Prior to playing in the IFL, Peoples spent time on the 2013 Chicago Bears roster, but did not appear on the field. He played college at Holmes Community College in Mississippi, earning first team NJCAA all-region honors and first team all-state as a kick return specialist. After his sophomore year, he transferred to the University of Lousiana-Lafayette, racking up 1,700 total offensive yards.
Armogen "Tre" Walker is a 6'4'', 240 lb linebacker out of Kansas State. He joins Spokane with IFL experience, playing his rookie 2015 IFL campaign with the Colorado Ice (now Colorado Crush) and the Nebraska Danger. He spent the majority of the season with the Ice, playing in 11 games and recording 70.5 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, 3 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. After he was released by Colorado, he signed with the Danger and played in the final 3 games of the season, recording 20.5 total tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, and a fumble recovery. As a member of the Kansas St. Wildcats, he appeared in 34 games between 2010-2013. Walker suffered an injury that limited his season, but he managed to finish his career with the Wildcats recording 146 total tackles (11 for loss), and 4 interceptions. Walker has also spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brett Blowers is a 6'3'', 265 lb defensive lineman out of New Mexico and will be a rookie this upcoming season. He spent two seasons at New Mexico, playing in 23 games and recording 67 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles. Prior to Transferring to New Mexico, Bowers played at Mendocino Junior College, in Ukiah, California. He earned All-Bay Valley Conference honors in 2012, recording 44 total tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and a blocked kick.
Spokane appears to be filling out core roster needs, but still need to fill in holes at running back, wide receiver, and quarterback.
