in what has become a family tradition for the past several years, i have tracked Santa's Christmas journey around the world as he delivers gifts. i began doing this with my sister, Monika, who now is 8 years old. a couple of years ago, we were joined for the first time by our young niece, Amanda, and the tradition has continued. Amanda should be here around mid-day on december 24 as my oldest brother and wife make the drive to the Portland area for Christmas. what began with something special between my youngest sister and i is growing and now Monika is just as proficient at leading the charge. thanks to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), we are able to bring updates via their tracking tools, talents and so forth. Monika, Amanda and i will be in contact with NORAD at various times throughout the next 24 hours. all photos and updates (some from DiamondThief and Yeseeka ) are courtesy of NORAD. as it stands now, Santa is just about ready to begin his journey. please, stay with us and check back throughout the day and night. I hope so. Seriously lacking in Christmas cheer this year. Home alone over Christmas so it just feels like any old day to me.
