Breakdown
STEAMWHEELERS
Quad City has had literally an up-and-down season through their first five games. The Steamwheelers' two wins have both come at home so they are looking for their first win on the road. This should amount to an interesting matchup as the Steamwheelers and Bucks moved over from Champions Indoor Football to the IFL prior to the 2019 season. The Steamwheelers are looking to put themselves in position to make a run to the playoffs, which they missed in 2019. Prior to last week, they re-signed E.J. Hilliard, who was the team's MVP and an All-IFL Offensive selection three years ago. He split time with Aaron Aiken at quarterback last week, but it would not be surprising if Head coach Cory Ross elects to go with Hilliard in this game. However, Aiken could also see some time as well. Kerrion Moore is a talented rusher who comes in with a trio of rushing touchdowns on the year. The receiving corps is a talented group of Keyvan Rudd, Mike Carrigan, Isaiah Grice and Londell Lee. Quad City's defense is led by the 37 tackles, interception and three pass break ups of Darreon Jackson. Jaylin Swan comes in with 24 tackles and a pair of sacks. Kimo Naehu has been one of the more solid kickers in the IFL this season.
BUCKS
Bismarck looked fantastic in their 76-46 win over the Bay Area Panthers last week. The Bucks' 76 points is the most in their three-plus seasons as an IFL franchise. Their previous high was 61 points in a 22-point win over the Northern Arizona Wranglers on May 22 of last year. A win in this one puts the Bucks at 4-2 and in the upper portion of the Eastern Conference standings and in early contention for a spot in the postseason. Jayru Campbell has been solid for the Bucks this season, completing 57 percent of his passes for 426 yards with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. Tahj Tolbert, who has thrown for 256 yards and seven touchdowns, could also see some time at the quarterback position. Campbell also leads the team with 161 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Rob Brown is listed as a running back, but he's even more dangerous as a receiver. Benjamin Glines leads the team with 182 yards and four touchdowns. Edgar Allen Poe, Jr. (yes, that's his real name) and Alexis Rosario also have touch scoring grabs apiece. Roman Morris' 18 tackles and two interceptions lead the team. Reginald Gantt, Jr. also has a pair of picks on the season. Chase Allbaugh has been accurate to start the season.
