Overview The following is the full schedule for the 2022 IFL Season. After the cancelled 2020 season which only saw two games played before the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic wiped out the remainder of the season, the 2021 IFL season was one of highs and lows; from the termination of the membership of the Louisville Xtreme to the first ever championship won by the Massachusetts Pirates, fresh off the move from the NAL after three seasons (two, not counting the wiped out 2020 NAL season). The Pirates would defeat the heavily favored Arizona Rattlers in a 37-34 thriller in the 2021 United Bowl (aka United Bowl XII).The 14th season of the IFL will yield 14 teams in 2022, up from the 11 that completed last season after the dismissal of Louisville. The replacement for Louisville will be the expansion Vegas Knight Hawks, who will play at the brand new Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, NV. The Knight Hawks are owned by Bill Foley, the primary owner of the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights, and the AHL affiliate, the Henderson Silver Knights. The Silver Knights will be the sibling tenant for the Knight Hawks at the Dollar Loan Center.Three out of four teams that went dormant in 2021 due to financial hardships and state restrictions relating to the COVID-19 pandemic will see their return this year. The Quad City Steamwheelers and the San Diego Strike Force, both of which joined in 2019, return in 2022. The Oakland Panthers, who never got the chance to take the field in Week 2 of the 2020 season, return, but rebranded as the Bay Area Panthers as the team has moved to San Jose, CA. The Cedar Rapids River Kings were the only dormant franchise not to return, despite being listed on the league's website with the designation to return in 2022.The Columbus Wild Dogs, founded in 2019 and was slated to play in 2021 saw their inaugural season pushed back to 2022. Unfortunately, the Wild Dogs were not included in the 2022 schedule, seeing the franchise's inaugural season delayed once again. The Wild Dogs hope that 2023 will be the year they finally make their IFL debut. The league will expand from it's originally slated 14-game regular season last season, which was thrown into chaos due to the termination of the Xtreme. This season, all 15 teams will play a 19-week, 16 game schedule with 8 home games, 8 road games, and 3 bye weeks. 2022 will also see the return of conferences for the first time since 2017. The league abolished the Intense and United Conferences after 2017 due to the loss of four franchises going into 2018. Despite adding teams since then, the league had not re-established conferences until this season. However, the conference previously known as the Intense Conference will now be known as the West Conference, and the United Conference will now be known as the Midwest Conference. The playoff format in 2022 will once again yield eight teams, with the top four teams in each conference will qualify for the 2022 IFL Playoffs. Each week's games will appear most recent at the top of the post. Final results will be updated following the conclusion of the games and listed in ascending order. Where applicable, click on the final score to view the IFL's game tracker for the complete box score, and click the Recap link to read the SCtoC recap of the game.NOTE: All game times are listed in the Pacific timezone and are subject to change. All games will be streamed on the IFL's Official YouTube Channel. Stadium, the league's national broadcast platform, is expected to return in 2022, but has not been confirmed at this time. Hey David!
I'm glad you updated the schedule to reflect Spokane's termination from the league. One note I observed, you have Vegas @ San Diego twice on this schedule (in Week 10 and again in Week 13). The Week 13 tilt should be Northern Arizona @ San Diego.
In addition, the newly scheduled Week 19 matchup between San Diego & Massachusetts has a 7:05 ET kickoff time, according to the Pirates' website and Twitter (rather than a 12:05 ET or 9:05 AM PT kickoff as it's listed currently).
Also wouldn't hurt to update the Conference Alignment graphic to remove or cross out Spokane, but that's just a suggestion.
Aside from those few changes, great job with keeping this up to date!

Thanks for pointing that out. I went by what was on the league website when I updated the schedule. The announcement schedule (and the league's calendar site) have it listed it for 12:05 p.m. CT. But I'll go change it by what the Pirates put. Monika was in charge of updating that graphic. We need to update the ones on the team schedules as well, as they still list Midwest Conference instead of the recently changed Eastern Conference.

Hey, I'm just curious what people think about the multiple games on multiple days schedule the IFL has had. Some weeks have had games over three and even four days. I know Angi has called for this in her end-of-season roundups the past two years and it seems like we're seeing some of that. Do you guys think it's easier, harder or about the same to watch and cover these games.
My feeling is that it's a good thing, at least mostly. More people get to watch each of the games. It even gave Angi a chance to show me how she writes the recaps. I did one on Sunday and it seemed to go well.

It even gave Angi a chance to show me how she writes the recaps. I did one on Sunday and it seemed to go well. It definitely does seem like the league has possibly received some feedback and set the schedule up with that in mind, at least for roughly first third of the season (up to Week 8). Either that, or their decisions may have been in part due to venue availability. From Week 9 onward, we'll wind up going back to the 2-day setup for most weeks, with two weeks near the end of the season only having Saturday slates. I do agree with Monika that setting up a more diverse array of kickoff dates/times allows the casual fan to pick and choose which games they want to catch live, especially at the start of the season. It also helps to have the games on YouTube available on demand in case you're unable to watch the game live for whatever reason. And for me, having kickoffs on Fridays/Mondays gives me something to look forward to after working hours.

We've got a change in a Week 9 game... Mass @ San Diego will now kick off on Monday Night (5/9) at 9:05ET/6:05PT. Hasn't been updated yet on the Pirates site but has been on SD's and the IFL's.

These are the current IFL standings after week 8. I'm going to start adding standings upon the completion of each week's games. Cool beans!! Looks like you've got QC at 3-4, should be 4-3. Aside from that, the records look accurate. Already halfway through the season almost!! Which means it's nearly time to dust off my playoff machine from last year and update it!

Standings heading into week 10 Kinda surprised Frisco would be ranked above Massachusetts. I'd think the Pirates would have the Tie-Breaker based on beating them in the regular season opener.

It probably is that way. With the new conference alignment, were still trying to figure out the tiebreaking scenarios. In the past, the IFL hasn't really regarded head-to-head as other leagues do. I think, for now, this is based on points and point differential. In coming weeks we will be shoring up this type of things. Another thing I'm talking with Moni about.

I'd suspect the league will likely come out with an announcement regarding exact tiebreaking methods in the coming weeks. They did this last year (granted, they also had to account for the unexpected Louisville exile). Which if that's any indication of what's to come, I'd suspect strength of victory/strength of schedule would have to be near the top of the tiebreaking list, especially where not all teams have an equally weighted schedule. We'll see if that winds up happening, or if the league uses another primary method.

My observations so far
- The East is definitely stiffer competition than the West. - I'm still skeptical about Northern Arizona, but it's hard to deny how good that defense is. I just don't know if it's a product of everyone outside of the Rattlers is mediocre or if it's legitimate. - Something is up with Massachusetts. They're still a good team, but losing 3 of their last 5 is concerning. I don't get the same vibe as last season's squad, especially on offense. - Iowa seems to finally be breaking away from the .500 club. Might be their time to start heating up. - Quad City can be really good they just need to get out of their own way. - Sioux Falls is not as good as they've been in the past. They're getting favorable reputation in the coaches poll, but this team is not the same as the juggernaut that's dominated the last decade. - I'm expecting Bismarck might have a coaching change at the end of the season. - In a Captain Obvious statement, Bay Area is by far the worst team in the IFL (San Diego's not too far off). They look outmatched in just about every game they're in. If Bay Area returns in 2023, I'd imagine they're gonna purge a lot of coaches.

These are pretty much spot on IMO. As a Pirates fan, I can definitely say that this is not the same team that won the title last year. That said, the 2021 team did take about half the season to really get their feet underneath them - and once they got out of their own way, stopped committing dumb penalties, and overall executing far more consistently, they were able to ride that spectacular win streak that saw them win games at will, authoritatively if I may add. I could see the 2022 squad chart a similar path to an 11- or 12-win finish, especially where there's a precedent where the team has accomplished that before. The schedule from this point on isn't too bad. But it's going to take some rookie players - and vets alike - stepping up their games and gelling more as a unit. That will be vital in a hyper-competitive East, where right now it's shaping up to be a 5-team race for 4 spots (1st and 5th separated by only 2 games), possibly 6 teams if Green Bay has more in the tank, which I believe they do have. I respect that Blizzard defense a ton, it's an underrated unit (3rd best in the IFL by points allowed/gm) that should keep them competitive in most games. Bismarck I'm just not sure they can string together a run. The West is looking like they'll send the three Arizona teams and either Vegas or Duke City to the postseason. The Wranglers have to be the biggest surprise so far based solely on last year's performance. And SD and Bay Area appear to be mere cannon fodder for the rest of the league unless either can find lightning in a bottle and go on an unexpected heater. Unsurprisingly, the Rattlers have to be the favorite for the Championship at this point. They were already elite, but now they have that anger and fire in their eyes, borne from losing out in last fall's United Bowl. Barring any significant injuries/USFL signings/etc. that should remain the case as the regular season comes to a close.
