BREAKDOWN
Tulsa picked up its first win over the season last week with a solid, eight-point home decision over the Iowa Barnstormers. While their offense is still a bit in flux, the Oilers defense seems to be back to their 2023 form. There is talent across the board on that side of the ball which could certainly come into play against a Storm offense which has struggled through the beginning of the season. Daniel Smith comes in completing 66 percent of his passes for 233 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Smith also rushes for 41 yards per game to go along with three touchdowns on the ground this season. He has a talented group of receivers, led by Joshua Crockett's 46.5 yards per game. Dubose Montero, Alexis Rosario and Jonathan Nance also will figure in the mix. All four receivers on the Oilers' roster came into the season with IFL experience. Jordan Jones, who led the IFL in tackles last year, already has 10 on the season. Tre Harvey adds 9.5. Noah Lyles has recorded three sacks and Ramon Morris has two interceptions thus far. Austin Neufield averages 46.9 yards on his kickoffs. The Oilers average 32.0 points per game (13th) and allow 31.0 (second).

BREAKDOWN
Sioux Falls is still looking for its first win of the season and would like nothing more than for that to come in this week's home opener against the Oilers. The Storm underwent a makeover over the off season as they transitioned from 20-year veteran coach Kurtiss Riggs to Andre Coles. The team is definitely undergoing some growing pains, but this game provides an opportunity for Coles to get his first win as head coach of the team. Billy Hall's numbers are solid as hes completing 60 percent of his throws for 127 yards per game. That goes along with four touchdown passes and a pick. Hall leads the team with 46.5 rushing yards per game and four touchdowns, but Xavier Jackson and Bryson Denley should provide some relief in the rushing game. Veteran Kentrez Bell leads the receiving group with 66.5 yards per game to go along with two touchdowns and Carlos Thompson, Jr. adds 32.5 yards per game. The defense is led by the 15 tackles of Armin Black, while Kendricks Gladney, Jr. and Elijah Reed come in with 11 and 10.5 tackles apiece. Black has the teams lone sack on the season. Dean Sarris averages 51.9 yards on his kickoffs. The Storm are scoring 36.5 points per game (11th) and are allowing 43.5 points (10th).
