Breakdown
STORM
Sioux Falls seems back on track after their season-opening loss to the Iowa Barnstormers. With wins over the Arizona Rattlers in the past two games, they appear to be back to their championship form of 2019 (not to mention years past). They've had great success against the Bucks in their previous meetings, winning all three and outscoring the Bucks 181-103 in the process. Lorenzo Brown, Jr. is completing 53 percent of his passes for 325 yards with seven interceptions and one pick. Brown, who also has rushed for 55 yards and a score, is one of the best in the business. Nate Chavious is averaging 49.7 yards per game on the ground along with four touchdowns. Brandon Sheperd's 11 catches for 127 yards lead the team and he adds one touchdown grab to his statline. JoJo Gauze has five receptions for 109 yards with a team-high four touchdowns. Trey Wafford and Marquis Hendrix lead the team with 25 and 24 tackles, respectively, and the former comes in one of the team's two sacks on the season.
BUCKS
The 2021 incarnation of the Bucks is a far cry from the team which took the field in 2019, and their record thus far reflects that. With a pair of wins over the Green Bay Blizzard and another over the Louisville Xtreme, the Bucks already have more victories than they did in all of 2019. They fell to a tough Iowa Barnstormers team in week 5 at Des Moines by just a touchdown. Glen Cuiellette has emerged as a quality IFL quarterback. He is completing 55 percent of his throws for 573 yards with 15 touchdowns and a pair of interceptions. He also has rushe3d for 102 yards and four scores. Justin Rankin is averaging nearly 40 rushing yards per game and has five scoring runs. J.T. Stokes' 12 receptions for 224 yards and six touchdowns lead the Bucks receiving group. Raheem Harvey has 230 receiving yards and Mike Carrigan comes in with 208 receiving yards and a trio of touchdown grabs. Deion Carter and Malik Duncan lead the Bucks with 20 tackles apiece, and Da'von Keith has recorded 3.5 sacks in the Bucks' first five games.
