Overview
The following is the 2021-22 schedule for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Portland's 52nd season is the first in three years to look like a typical NBA campaign. After a shortened offseason, The season will begin on October 20 with a home matchup against the Sacramento Kings, and will conclude with a home meeting with the Utah Jazz.
The Blazers will play their Northwest Division opponents four times each; two at home and two at away. The same will apply to six of the other teams in the Western Conference with the exceptions of the Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Golden St. Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans. They play those teams just three times apiece with varying home-and-away game ratios. As with a typical season, the Blazers play each Eastern Conference team twice.
There will be 14 back-to-backs; six of which come prior to November 30. The Blazers have two five-game homestands which take place February 4-12. The longest road trip is six games -- twice -- which occur January 13-23 and March 14-23. The April schedule is especially brutal with five straight home games before the season finale at home. Portland, which traditionally leads or is at the top of the league in this category, will travel 51,000 miles for away games this season.
OregonLive offers this nugget on another facet of the schedule: "Of the team’s 82 games, eight are classified as the team being 'fresh,' when the Blazers did not play the day before but their opponent did. Eleven are classified as the team being ‘tired,’ when the Blazers played the night before but their opponent did not. And 63 are considered 'even,' when the Blazers and their opponent either both played the night before or neither did."

UPDATE (12/22/21): The Blazers' December 23 home game against the Brooklyn Nets has been postponed. The Nets do not have the league-required minimum eight players to take the court due to them having 10 players on COVID-19 protocols. A make-up date has not been determined.
The Blazers play their home games at the Moda Center at the Rose Quarter in northeast Portland. For this schedule, all times are pacific time. Local broadcasts of Blazers games in 2021-22 will be Broadcast live on ROOT Sports (734/34 on Comcast Cable), which will be available in the pacific northwest and Alaska. Some games will be broadcast nationally on ESPN, TNT and NBATV. National telecasts are noted in parenthesis below. Home games are listed in bold red. Updated results will appear bold for wins.
