Breakdown
STRIKE FORCE
San Diego has had a rough start to its season, but there are things to take away from their early showing. The Strike Force took the bay Area Panthers down to the final minute in a season-opening loss. They ran into the Arizona Rattlers in their week 2 home opener, and things did not go so well. The Rattlers jumped out a 21-0 second-quarter lead, and blanked the Strike Force in the second half. Suffice to say, the Strike Force have some work to do. Cris Solano has gotten the start under center for both games this season. He is completing 38 percent of his passes for 212 yards with a pair of touchdowns and a pick. he also has rushed for a touchdown. Davonte Sapp-Lynch has 70 rushing yards on the season along with two scores. Amechie Walker leads the Strike Force with 103 receiving yards and a score, while Marques "Hoodie" Rodgers has seven catches for 68 yards and a touchdown on the season. London Lakopo and David Haney lead the defensive group, along with Daquan Brown who has the team's only interception on the season. San Diego's defense has yet to record a sack this season. Tanner Kuljian is the Strike Force kicker.
WRANGLERS
After just two games, Northern Arizona has already equaled is win total from its 2021 inaugural season. Of course, that isn't quite difficult to do with when that respective total is just one. The Wranglers 49-20 win over the Bay Area Panthers was decisive and should give them some momentum coming into this game. The Wranglers, under new head coach Les Moss, are looking to earn a playoff spot and hoping to make some noise in the post season. Kaleb Barker struggled in week one, but completed 10 of 13 passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns in the win. He has 171 passing yards with three touchdowns and a pair of interceptions on the season. Barker also leads the team with 33 yards on the ground. Stanley "Boom" Williams is considered the lead back, but has seen limited action in the running game. Glen Gibbons leads the team with 59 receiving yards and a score, while K.J. Stepherson has a pair of touchdown grabs. Mercardo Anderson, Vada King and Kenton Bartlett lead the defense. Anderson and two others each have an interception for the Wranglers. Branson Fischer handles the kicking duties.
