No. 18 pick Tennessee Titans (after trade with Philadelphia Eagles): Treylon Burks, WR Arkansas
Quick thoughts: And the Titans replace AJ Brown with a cheaper receiver. Burks has gotten comparisons to Deebo Samuel, although I'm not sure even Deebo Samuel would be worth trading AJ Brown for. Not a shrude move by Titans GM Jon Robinson, IMO.

No. 19 pick New Orleans Saints select: Trevor Penning T, Northern Iowa
Quick thoughts: Penning dominated at the FCS level. Here's the problem, he dominated at the FCS level, so the questions about whether or not he is NFL caliber are even more valid than usual. If he is dominant at the NFL level, this will have been a great pick by the Saints. If not? Bust. We'll see what happens.

No. 20 pick Pittsburgh Steelers select: Kenny Pickett QB, Pitt
Quick thoughts: The hometown hero Pickett broke all of Dan Marino's college records at Pitt, and with Big Ben Roethelisberger firmly in retirement, and the questionable play of Mitch Trubisky, Pickett will be yet another young gun in the AFC North. Considering the Steelers got him without trading up any? Considering Pickett is arguably the best QB in this draft class? Fabulous pick by the Steelers.

No. 21 pick Kansas City Chiefs select (after trade with New England Patriots): Trent McDuffie CB, Washington
Quick thoughts: The Chiefs have needed a good CB for YEARS and they finally get one with McDuffie, who comes from the notable DB factory of Washington. I expect him to come in and play well right off the bat. Great pick by the Chiefs.

No. 22 pick Green Bay Packers select: Quay Walker, LB Georgia
Quick thoughts: Yet another member of Georgia's national championship team goes in the first round. The Packers defense gets even better. Nice pick by the Packers.

No. 23 pick Buffalo Bills select (after trade with Baltimore Ravens): Kaiir Elam, CB Florida
Quick thoughts: You want to win a championship? You've got to win shootouts in the AFC? What helps you do that? Corners. The Bills drafted one. That should help them in their ultimate goal.

No. 24 pick Dallas Cowboys select: Tyler Smith T, Tulsa
Quick thoughts: If there is one thing that the inept Cowboys front office is actually good at, it is scouting lineman. This should end up being a good pick for the Cowboys because of that.

No. 25 pick Batlimore Ravens select: Tyler Linberbaum C, Iowa
Quick thoughts: Linderbaum is the best center in this draft. He comes from the offensive lineman factory of Iowa, so he should be a quality pro. Very good by pick by the Ravens.

No. 26 pick New York Jets select (after trade with Tennessee Titans): Jermaine Johnson II DE, Florida State
Quick thoughts: Johnson was the ACC DPOY and had seemingly raised his draft stock in recent weeks. He fell anyway, and the Jets get someone very good who's job will be to track down Tua, the Mac Attack, and Josh Allen, and sack them all. The Jets have won the draft thus far.

No. 27 pick Jacksonville Jaguars select (after trade with Tommy Bay Buccaneers): Devin Llyod LB, Utah
Quick thoughts: Lloyd was the leader of the Pac-12 champs for a reason. He is a great football player and the Jaguars have certainly lacked those in recent years. With Walker as the #1 pick and Lloyd the #27 pick will we see a return of Sacksonville? Jags fans certainly hope so.

No. 28 pick Green Bay Packers select: Devonte Wyatt DT, Georgia
Quick thoughts: Yet another member of Georgia's national championship team that will play for the Packers. Both were good players at Georgia, and so their contributions with the Packers should be imminent.

No. 29 pick New England Patriots select: Cole Strange G, Chattanooga
Quick thoughts: The classic reach pick the Patriots. Possibly solid, likely bust all things considered.

No. 30 pick Kansas City Chiefs select:George Karlaftis DE, Purdue
Quick thoughts: Like with Hutchinson, I have concerns that Karlaftis' dominance in the Big 10 won't translate to the NFL. On the other hand he could be the next JJ Watt. Being picked at 30, I think it is a calculated risk by Chiefs GM Brett Veach. Nice pick by the Chiefs.

No. 31 pick Cincinnati Bengals select: Daxton Hill S, Michigan
Quick thoughts: Another member of Michigan's playoff squad taken in the 1st round. Hill was a big time playmaker for the Wolverines last year and like I said with the Bills, to win a championship, you have to win shootouts in the AFC playoffs. This pick will help the Bengals do that. Quality pick by the Bengals.

No. 32 pick Minnesota Vikings select: Lewis Cine S, Georgia
Quick thoughts: We close the first round with one more member of the national champion Georgia Bulldog squad. The Vikings secondary will be something special.

Terrific analysis! I can't believe the Bucs traded out of the first round, but then again, they got three picks for one and only moved back eight spots with the first of the three.

Terrific analysis! I can't believe the Bucs traded out of the first round, but then again, they got three picks for one and only moved back eight spots with the first of the three. There are still good players on the board too. Bucs GM Jason Licht looks pretty shrude at the moment.

Notable picks from Round 2 thus far:
No. 36 pick New York Jets select (after trade with New York Football Tinys): Breece Hall RB, Iowa State
Quick thoughts: Hall was arguably the best running back in college football over the last couple years. Combine him Zach Wilson and Garrett Wilson, and the Jets along with their quality defensive picks have the building blocks for a successful team.
No. 37 pick Houston Texans select: Jalen Pitre S, Baylor
Quick thoughts: Pitre was DPOY in the Big 12 for a reason. He was by far the best player on an eventual Sugar Bowl champion Baylor Bear team and when combined with Derek Stingley, the secondary for the Texans has the potential to be elite.
No. 41 pick Seattle Seahawks select: Kenneth Walker, RB Michigan State
Quick thoughts: The one time Heisman frontunner, Walker led Michigan State to a highly successful season last year and he'll be a solid pro IMO. At this point I think the Seahawks are going to go after Baker Mayfield.
No. 44 pick Houston Texans select (after trade with Cleveland Browns): John Metchie III WR, Alabmama
Quick thoughts: Metchie would have been a first round pick if not for his ACL tear. Once healthy, he'll be a great weapon for Davis Mills.
No. 45 pick Baltimore Ravens select: David Ojabo DE, Michigan
Quick thoughts: Ojabo also would have been a first round pick if not his injury. The Ravens defensive is going to be young and fierce and something to be reckoned with.

No. 50 pick New England Patriots select: Tyquan Thornton WR, Baylor
Quick thoughts: Thornton was a baller at Baylor, and he'll be a quality weapon for the Mac Attack.
