The draft is open us SCtoC! I am Spiderfan, the official NFL analyst of this great website, and I will be here to give you my quick thoughts on every pick of the 1st Round as well as my quick thoughts on all of the notable picks (at least IMO) from Rounds 2-7. Unlike previous years, this draft has even more uncertainty, so the proverbial soap opera is even better than usual.

This year's NFL Draft will be held in Las Vegas. It was originally to be held there in 2020, but had to be changed to a virtual format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be 263 overall picks including compensatory selections and, for the second season in a row, the Jacksonville Jaguars will have the first pick.

No. 1 pick Jacksonville Jaguars select: Travon Walker, DE Georgia

Quick thoughts: The key word with Walker has been "potential". He has gotten on field comparisons to Aldon Smith, and since Jaguars GM Trent Baalke was the one that picked Smith all those years ago, this pick fits. Will Walker be as great as Smith could have been? Hopefully for Jaguars fans he is.

No. 2 pick Detroit Lions select: Aidan Hutchinson, DE Michigan

Quick thoughts: Hutchinson was the best player on the Michigan Wolverines, he was dominant, and with him being the hometown hero Lions fans are no doubt happy with the pick. I'm always skeptical about dominant Big 10 players, as the Big 10 isn't as good as other conferences, but Hutchinson could absolutely be the next coming of JJ Watt. Or he could go bust. We'll see.

No. 3 pick Houston Texans select: Derek Stingley Jr, CB LSU

Quick thoughts: Stingley has had injuries the last couple seasons, but I think he may end up being the best player in the draft. I remember thinking his freshman year that he would be a top 5 pick and here he is. Stingley is elite, he has football IQ, and played at the highest levels of college football. If he stays healthy, he'll be a franchise player for the Texans.

No. 4 pick New York Jets select: Sauce Gardner, CB Cincinnati

Quick thoughts: Sauce was the leader of the Cincinnati team that made the College Football Playoff for a reason. Even the Alabama Crimson Tide didn't want to throw his way. I think he'll be a solid pro for the Jets, a team that needs solid players.

I'm curious to see if the Jets take an offensive lineman with their next pick, because that is a MAJOR need for them.

No. 5 pick New York Football Tinys select: Kayvon Thibodeaux, DE Oregon

Quick thoughts: If not for injuries Thibodeaux probably would have been the number 1 pick in this year's draft. He was a beast at Oregon and it won't surprise me if he is a beast for the Tinys. Shame he'll be on a losing team.

Like with their AFC cousin, I'm curious to see if the Tinys take a offensive lineman with their next pick as that is a MAJOR need for them.

No. 6 pick Carolina Panthers select: Ikem Ekwonu, T NC State

Quick thoughts: The hometown hero and childhood Panthers fan Ekwonu was one of the best offensive lineman in all of college football last year. With McCaffrey in the backfield and potentially Baker Mayfield under center, this is a good pick by the Panthers.

No. 7 pick New York Football Tinys select: Evan Neal T, Alabama

Quick thoughts: 6'7 360 pounds. Neal is not only massive, he is also had NFL level coaching and played against NFL caliber talent. IMO, Neal is the best offensive lineman in the draft and the Tinys for once didn't shrink by picking him. Good for them.

No. 8 pick Atlanta Falcons select: Drake London WR, USC

Quick thoughts: London was the best player on USC in recent times, and while that might sound like a backhanded compliment, London reminds me of Cooper Kupp, arguably the best WR in the NFL. The Falcons needed a weapon like that, and they got him.

No. 9 pick Seattle Seahawks select: Charles Cross T, Mississippi State

Quick thoughts: Cross was an elite level pass blocker for Mike Leach's Air Raid. Who played at his best in a pass heavy Air Raid? Baker Mayfield. Even if it isn't Baker, Cross' skills will best used for a better QB than the one the Seahawks currently have.

Quick thoughts: Olave is one of many high level WRs to come out of Ohio State in recent years (Deva ju). With Michael Thomas as the #1 WR, Olave will make an excellent number 2. Shame the Saints QB is Jameis Winston.

No. 12 Detroit Lions select (after trade with Minnesota Vikings): Jameson Williams WR, Alabama

Quick thoughts: A speed demon at Alabama who unfortunately blew out his knee during the National title game, Williams is someone who will spread out defenses and make Jared Goff better. Worth the trade up IMO.

No. 13 pick Philadelphia Eagles select (after trade with Houston Texans): Jordan Davis DT, Georgia

Quick thoughts: A quality interior lineman for the Bulldogs, Davis will be a good wingman to Fletcher Cox on the inside.

No. 14 pick Baltimore Ravens select: Kyle Hamilton S, Notre Dame

Quick thoughts: Hamilton reminds me a lot of Jamal Adams. He is versatile and can play all over the field. The fact that he fell this far is surprising and given that the Ravens are a good team, I think teams will regret that they passed on him.

No. 15 pick Houston Texans select: Kenyon Green G, Texas A&M

Quick thoughts: With Davis Mills being viewed as the future, at least for the short term, picking a good guard like Green will help keep him upright. Good pick by the Texans.

Cardinals trade 23rd pick to Ravens for WR Hollywood Brown

Quick thoughts: Wow! Was the first word that came out of my mouth upon the announcement of the trade. Brown has been up and down for the Ravens, and with Kyler Murray being disgruntled what better way (at least from a team building standpoint) to make him happy than to reunite him with his college teammate. I'm fascinated to see who the Ravens replace Brown with.

No. 16 pick Washington Commanders select: Jahan Dotson WR, Penn State

Quick thoughts: Dotson was a fantastic WR for the Nittany Lions. He'll make a fantastic #2 to Terry McLaurin. Shame the Commanders QB is Carson Wentz.

No. 17 pick Los Angeles Chargers select: Zion Johnson G, Boston College

Quick thoughts: Protecting Justin Herbert is the most important thing for the Chargers for to do. This pick does just that. Good pick by the Chargers.

Eagles trade 18th pick to Titans for WR AJ Brown

Quick thoughts: AJ Brown wanted a new contract and apparently the Titans didn't want to give to him. I'm not sure why, considering he keeps Ryan Tannehill from looking like Ryan Leaf, but they did and the Eagles will be better for it. Devonta Smith AND AJ Brown? Jalen Hurts is a happy man.
