KNIGHT HAWKS
Vegas has had some successes this season; the most notable of which was their two-point win over the defending champion Massachusetts Pirates two weeks ago. But, the Knight Hawks fell by 27 at home to the Northern Arizona Wranglers last week. They'll look to get back on track against the Strike Force. Vegas is scoring 30.4 points per game (13th) and are allowing 38.0 (eighth). Jerod Evans will make his third appearance at quarterback for the Knight Hawks. He is completing 67 percent of his passes for 164.9 yards per game with five touchdowns and no picks. He is also rushing for 35.5 yards per game with four scores. Elad Covaliu is a bruising rusher and receiver, but he was released by the team this week. Desmond Epps and Jordan McCray make up the team's receiving group after KD Cannon was placed on short-term IR. Jerricho Flowers leads the defense with 44 tackles along with 4.5 tackles for loss. Javahn Fergurson comes in with 35 tackles. Meffy Kolomatangi has recorded two sacks. Nolan Kohorst serves as the team's kicker.
STRIKE FORCE
San Diego is looking to get their footing this season after Monday night's 21-point loss to the Massachusetts Pirates. That said, the Strike Force have won two of their last four and still have an opportunity to put themselves in the playoff picture. This is just their third contest at home in their first eight games. The Strike Force are scoring 34.1 points per game (10th) and allowing 48.9 (12th). Steve Cluely was placed on short-tern IR and Cris Solano was released, so it's up to new signee Gerald Kemp to take the helm at quarterback. Trevon Van has appeared in just four games, but has been the team's go-to running back and has five rushing touchdowns on the season. Davontde Sapp-Lynch has been activated from short-term IR. Rashad Ross leads the receiving corps with 27 catches for 258 yards and five touchdowns, and Marques Rodgers adds 23 catches for 218 yards and three scores.
