FIGHTERS
Frisco sits atop the Eastern Conference standings at 5-2 with their lone losses coming to last season's United Bowl participants, the Massachusetts Pirates and Arizona Rattlers. The Fighters are battling for a top seed in the playoffs and this visit to the Storm should prove as yet another test for that. They are accustomed to being a force in the playoff race and are hoping to earn a home playoff game come playoff time, and used the bye to get rejuvenated to earn a spot in the postseason. The Storm come in scoring 37.6 points per game (ninth) and allow 37.3 (sixth). Daniel Smith has settled in as the Storm quarterback. He's completing 59 percent of his passes for 569 yards with seven touchdowns and four picks. Nate Chavious ranks second in the league with 41.6 rushing yards per game and is fourth with 11 rushing scores. Carlos Thompson, Jr. leads the league with 18.2 yards per catch along with eight touchdown catches. Tim Keith and Kahliq Muhammad will figure heavily in the passing game as well.
