Breakdown
STEAMWHEELERS
Quad City is locked in what amounts to a five-way race for the final three playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. The Steamwheelers sit in a two-way tie for third with the Sioux Falls Storm heading into this weekend. They are a half-game ahead of the Iowa Barnstormers. While a win here would help their standing, it won't help their conference record; a potential tiebreaker. They score 40.1 points per game (seventh) and allow 38.5 (seventh). E.J. Hilliard is completing 61 percent of his passes for 1,232 yards with 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He leads all quarterbacks with 46.7 yards per game and is third in the league with 18 touchdowns. Kerrion Moore is the lead back with six rushing scores, as well as 327 yards and four touchdowns receiving. Mike Carrigan leads the team with 517 yards and 10 touchdowns. Keyvan Rudd comes in with 488 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Nathan Sheets has been excellent on defense with his 68 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two interceptions and seven pass break ups. Darreon Jackson had 54.5 tackles, while Naquez Pringle leads the team with four sacks. Veteran Kimo Naehu provides the kicking duties for the team.
KNIGHT HAWKS
Vegas stands on the precipice of a playoff spot, but will need to step it up and get some help from elsewhere in the Western Conference. As it stands, the Knight Hawks are just a game back of the Duke City Gladiators for the fourth playoff spot in the conference. Currently, they would lose the tiebreaker should the teams finish the regular season with identical records. They score 33.4 points per game (12th) and allow 36.8 (fifth). Cameron Dukes has started the past two games at quarterback and is completing 58 percent of his throws for 408 yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. He has rushed for 40 yards and three touchdowns. Davonte Sapp-Lynch signed after starting the season with the San Diego Strike Force. Dez Epps leads the team with 431 yards to go along with seven touchdowns, and Jordan McCray has 310 yards and eight scores. KD Cannon and Kasey Allison will also figure into the passing game. Jericho Flowers paces the defense with 55 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and six pass break up. Javahn Ferguson 49.5 tackles and a sacks. Mister Harriel leads the team with three interceptions. Nolan Kohorst has been the team's kicker for the great majority of the season.
