For Vegas, the hope is that the third time is the charm when it comes to a trip to the post season. In their first two years, the Knight Hawks have finished with just five wins each year. A trip here to the Rattlers to open the season is the first step to improving their playoff luck. All three quarterbacks on the roster have some, if not limited, IFL experience. Jorge Reyna filled in for the Arizona Rattlers when Drew Powell was injured last year, and the odds are he could get the starting nod here, though Joe Mancuso or Ja'Rome Johnson may have some things to say about it. Dual-threat back Antonio Wimbush was signed from the Iowa Barnstormers to provide punch in the rushing game. Quentin Randolph, Caleb Holley and CJ Windham are all experienced receivers for which ever quarterback gets the start. Defensively, there is some talent. Up front is Maurice Jackson to lead the pass rush, and veteran Roderick Chapman is the notable playmaker in the backfield.
