BREAKDOWN
Arizona stumbled a bit last week, losing in the final seconds by a field goal to the Vegas Knight Hawks last week. The Rattlers hope to get back on track against the defending champion Panthers. They're likely to start their third quarterback, the recently out-of-retirement Lorenzo Brown, Jr. With Dalton Sneed likely out due to injury, head coach Kevin Guy turned to Garrett Kettle in the first half last week before handing the reigns to Brown, who was signed just a few days prior. Brown is a two-time United Bowl MVP with the Sioux Falls Storm and shook off some rust to make his team competitive in last week's second half. Shannon Brooks is a solid running back who is entrenched as the starter. He is averaging 3.8 yards per carry and already has four touchdowns to his credit this season. . Jamal Miles, Glen Gibbons, Jr. and Isaiah Huston will line up at receiver for which ever quarterback gets the start in this game. All are talented and Miles is one of the longest-tenured players on the team. He and Gibbons have each caught a pair of touchdown passes. On defense, Dillon Winfrey and Davontae Merriweather are the lead backs patrolling the backfield, and Connor Taylor leads the team in tackles through two weeks of action.

BREAKDOWN
Bay Area come in with a target on its back as the defending champions. The Panthers open their season here in week 3 with nearly a dozen returning players and a handful of high-quality free agent acquisitions. (). With last year's National Championship MVP Dalton Sneed leaving for the Rattlers, the Panthers have signed former Iowa/Tucson/Vegas quarterback Daquan Neal to lead the team on to the field. Neal is a dual-threat who can keep its defenses on its toes. Returning JT Stokes joins Jazeric Peterson, who signed as a free agent from the Rattlers. Joe Nowden also returns to bolster the receiving corps. Shane Simpson is the most notable of the running backs on the roster and comes in with IFL experience. The Panthers return all three of their defensive backs; Bill Atkins, Trae Meadows and Antwon Kincade are a talented group who are likely to cause some problems for opposing offenses. Add to that Terin Adams, signed as a free agent from San Diego. Wes Bowers and BJ Taufalele (signed from Frisco) are a formidable linebacker duo. Trevaugn Grant will lead a talented group on the defensive line.
