Breakdown
BLIZZARD
Green Bay is coming off its first win of the season; a well-deserved home decision over the Iowa Barnstormers. That was two weeks ago and the Blizzard had a bye week to shore up some things before heading into the meaty part of their season. That starts with this visit to the Storm. Ja'rome Johnson is completing 52 percent of his passes for 409 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions. He also has rushed for 143 yards and another five scores. Terrence Smith comes in with 69 rushing yards and four touchdowns, has caught a pair of scores through the air. Marquise Irvin's 187 receiving yards leads the team, and Steven Newbold has 130 yards and three touchdowns in the passing game. Jakoby Pappillion leads the Blizzard in tackles with 20.5. Shawn Stelle II, Tre Claybourne and Nicholas Yearwood have 11.5, 10.5 and 10 tackles, respectively. Anthony Hayes has tallied 2.5 sacks. Logan Justus averages 48.3 yards per kickoff.
STORM
Sioux Falls evened up its record last week with their decisive win over the Iowa Barnstormers. The Storm started out strong and never let up in the 30-point win. They missed the playoffs last season for the first time since joining the current iteration of the IFL, but they are looking to bounce back this season with a strong playoff run. Lorenzo Brown, Jr. was solid in last week's win over the Barnstormers and seems to be getting his mojo back after coming back from retirement. Bryson Denley rushed for a two touchdowns in his first game last week. Tony Tate has taken on the role of the all-purpose player on special teams with his two rushing touchdowns and, four receptions and 27.8 kickoff return average. Clifton Duck's 15.5 tackles lead the defense, while LaRonji Vason-McCoy has 14.5 of his own. Eugene Ford enters the contest with 9.5 tackles and two interceptions. Former Blizzard Nick Jaworski averaged 42.2 yards per kickoff last week.
