Bucks 41, Blizzard 30

BISMARCK, ND - In what turned out to a much of a defensive slugfest early, the Bismarck Bucks outscored the Green Bay Blizzard 17-6 in the fourth to come away with a 41-30 win over the Blizzard tonight at Bismarck Event Center.
The Bucks put themselves solidly in the fifth spot in the playoffs in the Indoor Football League standings with their 7-6 record. The Blizzard fall to 5-6 and are still in the playoff hunt, but have dropped a notch.
With the win, the Bucks Sweep the Blizzard; winning all four games this season. The results of the three previous games are the following: April 23 - Bucks 41, Blizzard 35. May 15 - Bucks 58, Blizzard 46. June 18 - Bucks 50, Blizzard 29.
Green Bay scored on its opening drive when Brook Bolles found Kezlow Smith for a 25-yard touchdown. After Bismarck turned it over on downs, the Blizzard were held to a field goal try which went wide right. the Blizzard led 7-0 at the end of the opening quarter.
The Blizzard added to their lead in the second quarter with a 44-yard touchdown catch and run from Bolles to Keyondre Craig. The Bucks got on the board midway through the second quarter on a field goal from Cody Barber. Raheem Harvey's 11-yard touchdown from Kenyate Allen midway through the quarter. The Blizzard tried to kick a field goal at the end of the first half, but Michael Georgetti's 34 yarder went wide to the right. Green Bay held a 14-10 lead at the break.
The Bucks took their first lead of the game on a long scoring pass from Allen to Lorenzo West. the Blizzard tied the game with a field goal from Michael Georgetti. Isiah Strayhorn returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown to put Bismarck up 24-17. Bolles and Craig hooked up for their second long touchdown bomb of the night; this one of 45 yards, to knot the game at 24-24 toward the end of the third quarter.
Allen's three-yard run put the Bucks up by a touchdown a little less than two minutes into the fourth quarter. They added to that with a two-yard run from Allen and opened up a 38-24 lead midway through the quarter. The Blizzard cut into the lead on Keshaun Taylor's 25-yard touchdown catch from Bolles, but Georgetti could not connect on the point after so the Bucks led 38-31. Barber's 32-yard field goal accounted
