Breakdown
KNIGHT HAWKS
After starting their expansion season by winning two out of their first three games, Vegas has lost two straight. A trip to Titletown gives the Knight Hawks a chance to draw to .500 in a Western Conference that, sans the Arizona Rattlers, seems to be wide open this season. They have shown some flashes of solid play this season, but have been unable to string together four solid quarters of football. They'll get the chance against a Blizzard team which is better than its 1-4 record indicates. Jayru Campbell has established himself as the Knight Hawks' quarterback. He is completing over 53 percent of his passes for 422 yards with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also has 71 yards and three touchdowns rushing. Former Iowa Barnstormer Elad Covaliu's 74 yards and three scores on the ground are tops on the squad, and he adds another 42 yards and a touchdown on top of it through the air. Frank Brown has been the go-to receiver since game one and should expect to see plenty more targets in this one. K.D. Cannon also is likely due for a busy night in the passing game. Brown and Cannon come in with five and four touchdown grabs, respectively. Jerricho Flowers is the team's leader in tackles with 17, while Kaden Hicks and Mister Harriel have 15 apiece. Izaah Burks has recorded a pair of sacks and Kyree McLean owns two interceptions. Nolan Kohorst has taken over the kicking duties for the Knight Hawks.
BLIZZARD
It's not often seen that a winless team defeats the undefeated defending champions, but Green Bay's come-from-behind overtime victory over the Massachusetts Pirates last week proves that anything is possible in the IFL. Jack Sheehan's hail-mary to Dez Stewart on the final play of regulation, coupled with on the last play from scrimmage, coupled with Nick Jaworski's point after, sent the game into overtime where Sheehan ran it in from one yard for the game-winner. Sheehan probably locked up the quarterback position from Torrance Gibson, who started the first three games. Sheehan has been effective as a passer, completing 55 percent of his passes for 434 yards with nine touchdowns and a pair of picks. He also has rushed for 74 yards and three scores. Running back Toren Young saw his first action of the season last week and was an outlet out of the backfield. Stewart has been outstanding for the Blizzard through five games with his 20catches for 233 yards and six touchdowns. Keshaun Taylor is not far behind with 17 grabs, 203 yards and five touchdowns. Shaquan Curenton fills out the receiving group. James Brown's 35 tackles lead the defense, while Mason Gray and Momodu Mbye each have 26 takedowns Gray also comes in with a pair of picks and three pass break ups. Nick Jaworski has struggled in the kicking game at times, but came up clutch when called upon last week.
