BARNSTORMERS
Iowa is positioning itself quite nicely in the playoff picture heading into the second half of the season. The Barnstormers have reeled off two straight wins over the Bismarck Bucks last week and two weeks ago over a quality Quad City Steamwheelers team two weeks ago. Theis is the first of two straight weeks the teams will meet. The Barnstormers are scoring 40.8 points per game (fifth) and are allowing 37.6 (seventh). They have stability at quarterback with Darius-James Peterson, who has started all eight games. He is completing 57.5 percent of his passes for a league-high 1,203 yards with 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also leads the IFL in rushing with 55.6 yards per game with 10 scores. Kentrez Bell leads the team with 328 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Alvin Bailey and Dom McNeil have 287 and 257 yards, respectively. Ian McBurrough and Jordan Baldwin each have 59 tackles, with the former adding a pair of interceptions. Justic'e King and J.R Stevens have three picks apiece, and Dave Calderon. Gabriel Rui is reliable as Iowa's kicker.
BLIZZARD
Green Bay has won three of their last five games, but still have a long way to go to get back into the playoff picture. A pair of consecutive games against the Barnstormers will have to be the first two steps on that journey. The Blizzard sit in a two-way tie for sixth place in the Eastern Conference with the Bucks; two games back of a playoff spot. Green Bay is scoring 32.4 points per game (13th) and allowing 32.9 (third). Jack Sheehan has been a bright spot since taking over at quarterback, completing 56 percent of his throws for 1,070 yards with 25 touchdowns and five interceptions, and has five rushing scores. Keshaun Taylor leads the league with 13 receiving touchdowns off 32 catches for 363 yards. Dez Stewart comes in with 28 grabs for 291 yards and six touchdowns. Shaquan Curenton and Steven Newbold have 254 and 233 receiving yards, respectively. James Brown and Momodou Mbye lead the defense with 67 and 64 tackles, respectively. Dajour Nesbeth is the co-leader in the IFL with four interceptions. Nick Jaworski has solidified the kicking position.
