Frisco sits atop the Eastern Conference, but just a game ahead of the Massachusetts Pirates and Iowa Barnstormers. The Fighters' lone to losses this season have come to the Pirates and Arizona Rattlers -- last season's United Bowl participants. A two-touchdown loss in week 8 to the Rattlers still must sting. The Fighters score 47.6 points per game (third) and allow 39.1 (eighth). Blake Sims comes into this one completing 68 percent of his passes for 968 yards with 16 touchdowns and just a pair of interceptions. He also is rushing for 25.6 yards per game with six touchdown on the ground. Justin Rankin leads all IFL running backs with 437 yards and is second with 15 scores, and also has four touchdowns in the passing game. Sheldon Augustine leads the receivers with 379 yards to go with five touchdowns, and Jerminic Smith has 277 yards with six scores. Trey Wafford leads the defense with 39 tackles, while Santos Ramirez adds 32 takedowns and three interceptions. Charles Williams has recorded 3.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss. Bryce Crawford is capable of hitting a clutch kick when needed.
RATTLERS
Arizona suffered its first loss of the season two weeks ago. The Rattlers then took their anger out on the visiting Massachusetts Pirates last week in a 30-point win. It was a bit of redemption for losing the United Bowl last season to the Pirates. They will have to fend off a Fighters team intent on avenging a 49-35 loss to the Rattlers on April 30. The Rattlers are scoring a league-high 55.6 points per game and allowing 31.3 (second). Drew Powell is second in the IFL with 1,132 yards and first with 27 touchdowns passing. He is third with 40.6 yards per game with eight touchdowns. Shannon Brooks comes in averaging 42.0 yards on the ground and has seven touchdowns in just five appearances. Braxton Haley leads the receivers with 54.1 yards per game and eight touchdowns. Jamal Miles has 263 yards with five scores. Braxton Haley and Todd Athey should see some targets as well. Davontae Merriweather has 56 tackles to lead the defense, while Kyree Woods ass 40 tackles and four interceptions. Treyvon Woods adds three sacks to his 34 tackles, and Dillon Winfrey has 31 tackles and three picks. Kicker Ernesto Lacayo is as solid as they come in the IFL
